I have never in my 35 years ever hated what i had at mcdonalds until today. I dont know why they allowed the fries to thaw or why they didnt wait for the grease to get hot enough to fry, but someone thought one of the two wouldnt make a difference. So when they cooked the fries (I know this deal i have been a cook and I married a michelin star soux chef from the Netherlands who was a corporate chef here in the united States only out west in several notable restaurants.. Yes i know why McDonald's? it was late and I hate doing dishes) ... They poured the fries into lukewarm frier oil and set the timer only upon pulling out crisp golden brown fries one would expect- instead the temperature rendered a flacid room warm golden slimy potato straw... Bent and soggy.. Or the fries were not put into the freezer and thus allowed to thaw for a while and then put into the frier at a more room temperature temp. Thus not allowing the food to go into a heat shock if they were added frozen. Much like cooking a pizza if you pull inmediately fron freezer and put into a pregeated oven you get a crisp nice slice of pizza, if you leave it out to wait for preheat or bot wait for preheat at all you get a doughy sogged out flop of a pizza. Anyway there was nothing to enjoy about these soggy gummy bear flexible wet sock textured like fries and so they went into the trash as I got home. At least i lost ny apetite and didnt have to make a heap of dishes. I posed this to my boyfriend (I am now divorced 5 years, Jesus budget arent we?!) He told me he has had nothibg but bad burgers from this location and he won't go there. Im not some mcdonalds aficionado so, i dont really know these things. Yet I find that below average for fast food, is where we are at in terms of what you get- here in greenville.. so, i guess i kind of expect that something will be wrong and guessing and finding out what will go wrong, is my happy meal toy surprise. Anyway im really not excited to fibd out if this got fixed and I am really not in any hurry to find out. The obky thibg mcdonalds I will keep purchasing is their stocks because those for some reason keep going up in value.. Whixh i am guessing has nothing to do with this...
Read moreIF I COULD GIVE THIS RESTAURANT A -0 I WOULD! My family ALWAYS has issues with this location. We keep going to this location because of the distance of our home. We ordered two meals that included large fries through drive thru. We got our fries and of course it was a small in a large box. My husband took the fries back in, the manager didn't apologize..instead she took the fries, yelled at her employees(in front of customers), and gave my husband the fries back(still no apology). We got home(3mins away) and our quarter pounders were dry and old(supposed to be cooked to order) and the fries were STALE,OLD,COLD AND DISGUSTING!!! So my husband had to go back to this McDonalds..when he pulled up in drive thru and started to complain, the manager whom gave him the fries previously was heard in the background saying "OH MY GOD!!" So my husband pulled up to the window and she began ARGUING WITH HIM saying...."your sandwiches are not old..I saw him make them...the box is still hot.." etc. So my husband had to pull up and wait 20 for what we THOUGHT would be fresh food but when we got home(3 mins away) , we had the same damn burgers, fries were better than the 1st time but still not fresh..so we brought it home and said we will call the store manager in the morning because it was already late and we had already been through this twice..we called the store manager and apparently the store owner's wife was in the store working as well both of these ladies began to argue with us..telling us that we dont live where we said we did, saying that we can only guarantee fresh food for 7 minutes..and basically defended the manager whom we had a bad experience with the night prior! Didnt offer a refund or anything further!!You guys are awful! And will NEVER get a penny from my family again! Maybe you all should take some Chic-Fil-A customer service courses because your customer service skills are...
Read moreI'm giving a 3 for one reason: Inconsistent QUALITY within the realm of smiling, Positive, SERVICE-ORIENTED employees. And I'm not stupid - of course I know this is typical of fast food restaurants. But as a highly experienced Master Level small businessman with a thousand years of Success / failure / GREATER Success - I Am HIGHLY qualified to express here that ANY performance less than Top Shelf Positive/ KINDNESS-infused Customer Service is unAcceptable. This is a result of less than best management / corporate policies , and it ALWAYS cuts into the bottom line on your Profit/ loss Statements. "Creators" listen to me and Learn and Grow (Just as I did over and over way back in the day to the people I chose to learn from). "victims" spew out pathetic excuses from their pie- holes such as "Well, you just can't Expect to get Quality Employees at minimum wage" or "such young age" - and THAT is a pathetic load of doodoo. I know from personal experience that it's not the easiest component of your Mission to Accomplish - but I have seen way too many examples of young employees with OUTSTANDING ATTITUDE and WORK ETHIC, which more often than not is due to their parents (or grandparents) raising them RIGHT. So they ARE out there - and if you want to offer the best Service possible and make the most money you can from your business then you're damn well gonna seek 'em out and then hang on to them with everything in your Power and Reward them with Positive feedback and Growth-oriented information. Then you Deserve for your income to Expand upward and outward. Managers / supervisors tolerating lousy, REPELLING attitudes from their employees is a DIRECT VIOLATION of "The 6 P Principle": Proper Planning Prevents Piss-Poor...
