No. 1 China — Restaurant in Greenville

This is an average strip mall Chinese food restaurant. It isn't actually Chinese food. It is American-style Chinese food. The rice is yellow and fried with a few vegetables. I've had shrimp-fried rice (they toss in some shrimp), sweet and sour chicken (breaded chicken nuggets), and pepper steak (cow meat with onions and green peppers). The service is nice and quick. The cost is low. The restaurant is obviously old, but clean. The food is good. My only complaint is the customers. The area attracts people that are obviously trying to scam the owner to get what they didn't pay for. Every time I've been to this restaurant, there is at least one argument with a customer demanding more food without...

DONT DO IT!!! i know the reviews are bout 50/50 but dont do it!! My roommates got chicken fried rice and the onion was plentiful but rotten. She was sick all night and the next morning. My spring rolls were white and doughy bc they couldn’t bother frying them barely. Even tho we gave them the whole 40mins they asked for to complete a small sesame chicken and a chicken fried rive with two orders of spring rolls and one veggie egg roll. Sesame chicken wasnt tht great and it was the best thing. Egg roll.. took one bite.. sniffed the inside and it smelled rancid. Rice on my sesame plate was dry and disgusting 🤢. Again. If ur looking for a good Chinese place...

Ordered lemon pepper wings, general tso chicken, kung pao, and hot and spicy beef during their lunch hours. Lemon pepper wings were pretty good. General tso was worth getting again for the price. I regret buying the kung pao and the hot and spicy. No flavor, everything tasted watered down. Fried rice is not very good at all. The good news about the fried rice is that you can probably doctor it up and remake it at home if you want to do that. Otherwise, as is, not very good.

I would come here again for the general tso chicken. The price is really good and the portions are large. I would recommend getting plain white rice...
