I visited this location early morning to pick up a mobile order I had a placed. I arrived at the speaker around 2:18 AM and a female voice (AI or a cheerful female employee) welcomes me asks me something about a mobile order. I responded by stating that I had placed a mobile order, but I did not receive a response back asking me for my code. So, I waited. I waited for about 6 minutes while watching a line of cars pile behind me. I was not sure what was going on; there was no “just a moment” or “I’ll be right with you.” I was not sure if they were having technical difficulties, or if they even knew I was sitting there. Given that I had already ordered and paid through the app, I decided to pull around to the window.
I got the window at around 2:30 AM. The lady at the window asks me about my order. I tell her that I had a mobile order. She tells me that I was supposed to wait in line and let the order taker know that I had a mobile order at the speaker. I explained that I was sitting at the speaker for about 6 minutes and no one had addressed me, so I pulled around. She took my order code, and, once again, states that I was supposed to wait in line, further adding that the manager was going to have me pull to the end of the line to go back to the speaker. I reiterated that I was in line, and had waited at the speaker for about 6 minutes before deciding to pull around to the window. The lady disappears for a few moments, and when she returned, she handed me my drink and told me that the manager wanted me to pull forward into the designated spot, stating that the manager would bring the food out to my car.
I waited about 14 minutes in this spot and had watched about a handful of cars that were behind me in line pull off with their food. I do not think it takes nearly 15 minutes to prepare a single 6 count nugget and small fry.
I needed to keep to my schedule, so I pulled off and went across the street to get food before heading home (175 miles away). I was not able to contact the store until I arrived home at 5:07 AM. I spoke with a team member on the phone about getting a refund for the items I did not get, and was told that his manager said they could not do a refund for me unless I was physically in the store. Obviously this is not a responsible solution for me, so I will be disputing the charge once it posts to get the money I am owed back.
Overall, this experience was super disappointing. I do not visit McDonald’s often, but decided to because of the the mobile ordering process and the availability of coffee before my drive home. However, I spent nearly 30 minutes total in this location’s drive-thru waiting for food I had already ordered and paid for. I spent much less time at the Cook Out across the street, despite them having a higher volume of cars in the drive-tru and no mobile...
Read moreSo I had to calm down before I wrote this post, I went to McDonald’s on Memorial by mistake by the hospital. As per usual they pulled me up, it was about 10:15 am roughly! The GM very disrespectful his name is Quan/Quam…all I ordered was 2 Hasbrowns, McChicken Biscuit, and 2sausage patties w/1 scrambled egg. I’m standing there after being pulled up. He makes this remark after I inquire about my wait time to one of his managers “when it’s this close to lunch and a doordash meal comes in paying a $100 plus dollars, that takes president over 1 order pulled up”! Now me working in corporate felt immediately disrespected with his tone an address to my $9.80 meal. Number one the doordash pickup lady was no where In site. You had 3 cars pulled up and ppl in the inside waiting on they food. Me being that I worked at McDonald’s 16 years ago remember to get the small stuff out first to keep the times down. He focused on the dollar amount versus the times and clearing out traffic. Because when 10:30 hit lunch was popping in and of course they would get swamped. Finally idc how much my food was, there is a way to speak to which you’re not heard by the customer! He got the right one today, like I told his co-worker he better start looking for a job. Because once I get done with corporate he will be waiting on unemployment line. If y’all know him, tell him to watch his mouth you never know what the end result would be. Good thing I ain’t crazy, because someone else would have given him what he didn’t ask for.
Signed irritated customer
P.S. I did the survey and contacted corporate. Also they didn’t even give me my complete order. Had to share food with someone to ease their...
Read moreAt about 11:30 am on August 9, 2023, I ordered a combo meal at the counter. The tea urn in the lobby was empty and the fries I was given were cold. I asked the young lady for tea and some warm fries. She gave me the tea, then made a big show of making fresh fries but not giving me any, then told me something about she didn't put the fries on my table and I had to hand them to her or something - I had already given them to her. I tried to understand what she was talking about - I didn't even have a table yet - but she just kept saying I had to give her the fries that I had already given her. Finally, I just asked if she was going to give me fresh fries or not and she said "no" and walked away, so I told her to give my money back and she kept walking. The manager finally came and refunded my money.
The truth is, this is the worst MacDonald's in the area. They are inferior in cleanliness, service, and food quality, but their location next to the hospital keeps them in business. The management team appears to be one big nepotism club, with promotion based on relationship to the owner, rather than skill or talent. Once or twice a year, I give them another chance because I am always on that side of town and I am always disappointed with food that is cold, assembled sloppily, and served with hostility.
Then there was the manger, a daughter of the owner, who I saw telling a black man that the problem with America is Black people. So, on top of lousy food and service, your purchase supports a...
