Villa Verde DOS — Restaurant in Greenville

I really love their place on 10th Street but was very disappointed in this one on Arlington. First of all I saw a guy in the back cutting raw chicken with no gloves on and then grab his cell phone without washing his hands. He then just set the yellow cutting board to the side. That will make people sick for sure with cross contamination. Never saw him wash his hand at all. The cilantro lime sauce is so salty almost unbareable to eat. The Big Papi which is made with steak was very very tough and obviously been sitting in the warmer forever. So disappointed. I've been in the restaurant business for years and this place definitely needs someone in charge to make sure things are done right! I stay close by the one on 10th street, so I frequent that one almost 2 times a week. I’ve tried just about everything on the menu.. everything is always so tasteful and fresh! My favorite is the oaxtails! Well the One on 10th St. is Temporary closed and I couldn’t fathom having to wait two months, so I decided to visit this one which is near the hospital. When I mean to tell you the food is night and day.. I got the oxtails rice and beans ..I paid a little over 26 bucks with tip.. -The beans were hard, the oxtails were below room temperature and tasteless. After sitting inside and taking a few bites I had to throw it away .. Needless to say a $26 bill and a empty stomach filled my villa verde cravings.. I’ll just have to wait until the other...

Such an amazing place to eat!!! Oh my. We stopped here to try something new while we were in town. It would be about an hour drive from us normally.

There was no line, fast and friendly service, easy to read menu, and good music. I got the Young's bowl and took some suggestions from the employee. I put feta cheese on it and rotisserie chicken.

The chicken fell right off the bone. I got the dressings on the side, but to be honest, it didn't even need any because it was so good. I did use a little though, because the dressing was good too. 😂
