Really disappointed, seriously poor ement. Drove through with Mom. Person taking the order wasn't paying attention to what was being said, and/or could not hear well. Had to raise voice and repeat multiple times before verbal confirmation of the order for 2 whataburger jrs. with cheese, 2 large onion rings and 1 sweet tea was achieved. Get to the window and the cashier confirmed the order. There was an employee standing outside the window, somewhat blocking anyone pulling up to the window. He did not move, we were afraid the car side mirror was going to touch his stomach.
When the cashier handed over the order and the bag was checked, 1 of the burgers did not have cheese. The cashier is talking to the other employee who is still standing outside the pickup window. Had to interrupt and say "this burger doesn't have cheese." Cashier is still talking to the other employee abd then says "you weren't charged for cheese." So had to say "but I ordered cheese." Tried to hand her the burger and she says "I was just going to give you a slice of cheese." So said "no, please put the cheese on the burger" The cashier said "so you want us to remake the burger? We can't take the burger back." Replied "Yes please, I would like what I ordered."
Seriously? I have never had such a terrible experience at a Whataburger. I get it's fast food, but Customer Service is a very basic skill and this is not rocket science. I have also never had a burger place try to just hand me a slice of cheese instead of correcting my order. This was not a complicated order either. Also what exactly was the employee who was standing by the window thinking? I get he was taking care of the 2nd lane BUT there was no one in that lane to take care of.

I ordered nearly $40 worth of food and almost all of it was wrong.. the pattymelt had no sauteed onions or creamy pepper sauce, I ordered 3 justaburgers with meat & cheese only & they came with the mustard & pickles on them. The only thing that was right was the drinks & the grilled cheese.. I called the store and spoke with Andrew who said he would replace my meal. I explained it was too late for me to go back but could I get the replacement at a later date. He said absolutely, to write his name on the recipet & bring it back even if he wasn't on duty the meal would be replaced. I went back a week later (I'm a full time working mom who works over an hour away) & I encountered the night manager Maria. Maria expressed she would not replace my order, that it was from a week ago.. I explained that Andrew the other manager I spoke with didn't mention a time frame for the replacement. (Granted I could understand had it been a month later, but it was barely a week after). She was extremely rude and said that regardless she would not be replacing my order & to come back when Andrew was there. At that point I asked her for her supervisors info because she was unreasonable & refused to honor what the other manager had said. The following day I called back to speak to Andrew & explained the situation. He was very kind and let me know that she should've replaced my order, and that there was no time frame on when I could get it. We had a very good chat, he was so professional and helpful. He realized there was a mistake made and he did all he could to make sure the store made it right. Read moreFirst, our order was forgotten. I brought it up to a very rude employee who disappeared. When I asked him again, he said "I looked back there and didn't see it.". When I went back with the receipt, he took it from me walked around a bit then told me they were waiting on bites. This was an obvious lie, since I watched several customers who ordered after get their bites and 2 batches were dropped while I watched. I also watched him pass off the receipt and rebuild the order off of my paper receipt. Upon receiving the order, literally no portion of it was correct. No toast, wrong sizes, and wrong toppings. I brought up the toast to a manager who brought a single poorly wrapped piece of toast to my son (his favorite part). The manager who I raised the issue to (twice) didn't check any other portion or come back to check or attempt to church anything else other than the single piece of toast. Some recognition of the wait (over 20 minutes) and problems would have been nice. She was in a hurry to get back. The restrooms were disgusting, condiments weren't restocked, just sitting on the counter and had to ask for more ketchup. I understand that this was a busy time, but this was fat and away my worst and just disappointing visit to Whataburger, especially when I have come up expect good service and accuracy. There was not a single part of this visit that was even passable. We ate the errors and left since it was obvious that they aren't concerned about the issues.
