The best part: The breakfast: two waffle makers, omelettes, bacon, potatoes, fresh fruit and the usual. There was ketchup, hot sauce and real butter, chocolate chips and whipped cream. Everything was really good but they could've cleaned a table once in a while. I was surprised how yummy everything was.
The worst part: Hair and stains on the bed, hair on the toilet, dirty floors especially in the bathroom. The breakfast made us feel much better about our visit so we will give 2 stars for the breakfast but a clean room is more important.
After my husband checked in at 9pm, the clerk did something very strange. She came outside to our vehicle and pointed to the pool, directing us to enter in the "more convenient" door on the side in front of the pool. In the dark, I pulled my rolling suitcase over, along with my baby, to find out there was no place to open the door with my key card. Please stop telling anyone to use that door.
Clean rooms? All I wanted was a room that smells and looks clean. I was really let down by the cleaning staff. As soon as I got into my room I checked the bed and toilet and both had multiple hairs on them, the bed had so many. If it was just one I could brush it off but there was so many hairs. I could've gotten this level of comfort at Motel 6 and saved a lot of money. I told the clerk about the hair all over the beds who replied that everything shows up on white sheets(yes, that's the nice thing about clean white sheets). A little bit later she also apologized for the lack of cleanliness.
The clerk gave us a new room and it was also not clean. The bed didn't have hair on it but it had some black smears similar to the black substance on the bathroom backsplash that could be wiped away. The second toilet had hair on it like the first. Every surface had dust and/or crumbs on it especially the nightstand and bathroom counter. The floors were disgusting. There was brown splotches in the bathroom floor and I was afraid it would be you-know-what but it didn't wipe off with a wet towel but what did come off the floor was more hair and dirt from just an inch of the floor. Buc-ees bathroom cleaners could give this hotel some tips. Yesterday I saw Buc-ees mopping their floor and I didn't spend $150 and I didn't need to take off my shoes and walk around barefoot on their pristine bathroom floors like I did to take a shower at this dirty hotel.
At 5am I could hear the room next door, their phone alarm vibrating on the nightstand and them moving around and shutting the bathroom door.
There is construction work happening on the 3rd and 4th floor but it didn't bother us on the 2nd floor. We woke up at 8am to go have breakfast...
Read moreIf you're looking for a hotel when visiting greenville I would highly suggest not staying at this hotel. I am really disappointed with this hotel because I was expecting more. Where do I begin? There were many nights that we did not get enough rest because we could hear the footsteps and other noises from the other guests in the room above ours so loud and clear that it woke us up every night and early in the mornings. I thought we were the only ones having this issue but apparently other guests have experienced the same problem. My guess is this must have something to with the floors in the hotel. Maybe they were built with inadequate padding? When this was mentioned to the guest services rep, we were asked to request a room on the top floor next time. If you must stay here I would highly suggest requesting a room on the 4th floor to avoid this issue. Secondly, the service at this hotel is the worst I've experienced. The wife and I travel often and we've stayed at many different hotels. This hotel will be at the bottom of that list when it comes to customer service. We left our room today, went out and came back to the trash still overflowing from the bin and dirty towels on the floor because there was no house keeping done. We just reported this to the front desk and we were asked if we wanted to change rooms to leave the messy room. At this point with just one night left in our stay we just want to want to be out of this hotel and to never return. The next time we are visiting the greenville area we will surely be looking to stay at a...
Read moreGreat location. Customer service is amazing and rooms are clean. Water pressure & hot water is great. Pool is nice. Close to a lot of restaurants, shops, and interstate. Smaller town so some luxuries that bigger cities offer arent available but Dallas is an hour drive away so at least its somewhat close. Pillows is my #1 compliant. They deflat very fast so I had to use 5 pillows to incline a bit to watch tv.
2nd compliant is DON'T PARK UNDER THE TREES. I WOKE UP TO BIRD SH!T ALL OVER MY RENTAL CAR.....like COVERED!! (See photos). I had just picked up the rental car the night before and drove straight to the hotel. There should be a sign warning guests about this. I couldn't even open my door without using a napkin. Then after a $20 car wash (at the convenience store close by that wasnt the greatest carwash, water pressure sucked).....after the carwash, the bird sh!t still wasnt off. Thats how much I had on the car. 2nd morning I woke up, and this is after I parked away from the trees....I had more covering the car. Not as much but still some that had accumulated overnight. I felt hopeless after that so I just left it on the car. PARK away from the trees by the diamond memeber parking!! Other than that, it's really a great hotel! Breakfast is your typical stuff; yogurt, boiled eggs, toast, muffins, eggs, bacon/sausage, cereal, juice, coffee, oatmeal. Receptionists were super friendly and helpful when I accidentally locked myself out of my room....
