went to eat at popeyes today. First of all the floors were so greasy and oily i definitely could see myself falling over had i been there long enough. grease and oil did not end there, it was also on the chair i sat in, and the table I ate on. girl did not ask me if i wanted dine in or takeout. gave me a bag, had to ask for a tray because i had already noticed how dirty the table was. Ordered ghost pepper chicken sandwich with bacon. i received my food in the little tinfoil bag, it wasn’t really wrapped just crookedly folded over once. the chicken was the worst part, it was super super crusty like to the point where it was more crust than chicken. somthing was definitely up with the batter they were using back there. and the chicken inside all that batter once i got to it finally was dry and yellow looking. i’ve honestly never really seen chicken that looked like that before kinda spooked me. i took some pictures of it after i had kinda got freaked out and tore it apart to see exactly what i was attempting to eat and yeah you can see some of the yellow tint the chicken has on one of the pieces in the background. I threw everything away after because i really didn’t feel like i should eat it. Shame because i always really liked popeyes chicken for the time that greenwood has had one but it’s so far away from me it was always a bit of a special occasion thing for me but this experience solidified that i will never be...
Read moreLast night at 9pm, i decided to go through the drive-through and get some chicken. I have always loved Popeye's. I drove up, and sat at the order placement speaker for over 5 minutes. No one responded, although they were inside and customers were being assisted. Several customers drove past me and ordered at the window. So, I drove up to the window. They girl in side was making drinks for an order (I assume the counter), but never acknowledged me. I thought about driving away, and I sat there for several minutes. She eventually opened the window and asked if I wanted to order. I told her yes, and that I had been waiting at the drivethrough, but she didn't seem to care. I gave her my order and paid. After several minutes, she then asked the guy in back to fill my order, and he did so quickly, but she took her time to get it to me. I am guessing at least 20 minutes to get this. When I got home, I realized the food had been out for awhile. The chicken was dried out, the biscuits were hard and the red beans were so salty that they could not be eaten. When this location opened, I was elated, but the service has gone down, and the employees appear not to care about anything. The quality of the experience has gotten terrible. I don't want that to happen, because I don't want Popeye's to close in Greenwood, but if they don't get a grip on this...
Read moreRevising this review due to the horrible general manager and the plethora of excuses given tonight. Corporate offices need to be alerted to this inept GM. The manager was sweet as could be and continually apologized for his excuses. I put in a mobile order 20 minutes before arriving purposely to not have to wait. I arrive and waited in drive thru line for two vehicles ahead of me. First car waited around 5 minutes. Second vehicle about 5-10 before being acknowledged. My turn, I literally sat there 15 minutes before being helped. I pull up expecting to receive my order and get told I need to pull around. The manager had no excuses but did say things weren't running properly because the GM decided to change oils at dinner rush. I spoke to him and he had a list of excuses longer than my close to hour past due order. The absolute idea he has excuses then attempted to throw it at me as my fault!! Having worked service industry most of my life that's one thing I could never do is make excuses for my shortcomings. Corporate office needs to be on top of this. The manager deserves an award for her sweetness and ability to take the lead. I didn't get her name but she's a gem being dulled by the GM antics...
