First time here and we went in expecting a great experience. We're big fans of Break On the Lake. Sadly, that didn't happen. It was very quiet, only 2 other tables occupied. We started with a drink order: Long Island Iced Tea for me, bottle of Corona for hubs. This was possibly the worst LIIT I've ever had anywhere. Either one of 2 things: the bartender doesn't know how to make them or they use a low quality pre-mix instead of actually making them. I'm guessing the latter. But it was a sickeningly sweet glass of what tasted like lemonade. 2 sips and it sat untouched. I ordered a cheese quesadilla and hubs ordered the French dip and we shared a basket of onion rings. We were asked if we wanted the rings seasoned and said yes. Unfortunately, that meant they arrived covered in an artificial looking orange powder and were so salty that I couldn't eat more than 1. Hubs had a few but also said they were way too salty. My quesadilla arrived and it had chicken in it. I pointed that out to our server who looked through her notebook and said "no ma'am. I wrote down chicken." I said " well you must have misunderstood. You may have written down chicken but I ordered cheese." She tried to tell me a second time that I ordered chicken because she wrote that down and I again said, no, I specified just cheese. She did offer to take it away and have it remade. I hate seeing food wasted and told her nevermind, I would just keep it as is. Hubs was served his sandwich with no au jus and had to ask for it. I was surprised when we got the check that we were still charged the upcharge for the chicken in the quesadilla. When I asked about that, the reply was "well you DID eat the chicken." Point taken. Yes, I did. But I did so thinking it was saving you from throwing the whole thing in the trash and making another. Lesson learned. I should have let them throw it away and prepare what I actually ordered because I paid the additional cost for the chicken I didn't want or order in the first place. Overall, it was a very...
Read moreI was hired as a member of Cash Money Experience cover band to perform at this establishment. Very poor experience with how my wife and the wife of our guest drummer were unaccomodated by the venue management. We also had several guests that traveled to support us that also complained of how they were treated and spoken to. My wife is a member of the band as our videographer, media specialist and wardrobe designer and she is always very patient and caring towards the guests that follow us from venue to venue. That being said, as I perform I am always concerned that a patron of any establishment we perform at is disrespectful to her and other band member families. It is discouraging to find that Sportsbreak management was verbally disrespectful, especially because I have to trust each venue's management to respect her as I perform. As our videographer it was clear that she is a part of the band as she performs her duties. After our first set she told us that the management was disrespectful and rude in talking with her. We also had quests that followed us and let the band know that they were treated poorly. I do not enjoy being put in a position to handle someone disrespecting my wife and finished the night professionally. This review is required though because I am sure other cover bands likely experience similar treatment here. ** Update- management’s response was to call the band leader and threaten not to book the band again. Zero accountability for disrespecting several women, one being my spouse. Classless. **Update- still no response from this...
Read moreStopped while passing through town for lunch today. Atmosphere was nice, wait staff was great, but the food was much less appealing. I ordered grilled chicken breast with a side of corn casserole and mashed potatoes and gravy. When the food came out the chicken was cooked almost to shoe leather and dry as can be. Had to saw through it with my knife. The corn casserole was awful. The corn seemed like field corn that had been dried out and then rehydrated. Mashed potatoes would have been okay if they were warm. The whole plate came out with all the food less than lukewarm. My wife ordered a chicken dinner with two thighs. They ran out of thighs and automatically substituted drummies without even asking her. She would have sure chosen breast or something other than drummies if they just would have asked. The waitress was great but we were very disappointed with the food. Needless to say I probably won't be stopping in there again for lunch or any other meal. It is although a great place to watch sports with many TVs. If you are planning on just drinking and watching sports might be the...
