I dine in and have ate here more times than I can count over the years. Tonight we went in for my birthday. We always order a lasagna with bread and salad and we split the meal. With all the food theres no way we can eat it all. Tonight the first time ever we were told we’d have to pay an extra $5 to share a plate. We said no got up walked out and will never return there again. Now. We didn’t ask for extra plates or anything extra we always share the plates as well. We also ordered our own drinks. We were just very disappointed that they now want to charge $5 for sharing a plate. ESP when we have done this so many times and have never been charged the extra $5 before. Oh well their loss as we will never go here again and we will start going back to capri’s where we are not charged to share a plate. What a great way to loose buisness. And before someone says if you can’t afford it don’t go. I can afford it I just don’t really like anything but the salad and he was going to eat the main dish and I was going to eat the salad that came with the dish and a couple bites of the main dish. So money wasn’t the problem it’s just something we do a lot of since he loves their food. We left and went to Cracker Barrel and enjoyed our meal there. You really lost a good paying customer who had visited your resturant a lot the last year and haven’t had any problems...
Read moreFriends invited us as we hadn't heard of this new place yet. Food and service were awesome! Wish the hummus appetizer came with more than one piece of pita bread but you can order extra for a very small charge and it is so worth it! You get a generous amount of yummy hummus that tastes so fresh. Had chicken Parm (chicken is grilled not fried so it's a tad bit healthier. The sauce was delish and the pasta not over done and mushy like you get in a lot of places). Gyro kabobs were so good. More like the gyro meat I would get from food stands in Europe and the tasiki was very fresh tasting. Also had chicken kabobs (well cooked and seasoned. Done but not dry) and the lasagna (which our friends say is their favorite). There's so much more we'd love to try so we can't wait to go back. Heard the pizzas were great too and fresh made pizza dough. Prices are reasonable as compared to similar restaurants in the area. Portions are generous. If you're a tiramisu fan...get it. You won't regret it. I believe the owners wife makes it. Not defrosted from a food distributor. Overall great experience and much needed in greenwood. I wish them much success in the future years and to not lose that family atmosphere with real...
Read moreIt was our first time going to the olive branch, and the last. They were only 2 tables with customers sitting at them after being there for 10-15 minutes we were about to get up and leave wishing we did, when the server finally came to the table took our drink order and about 5 minutes later we got them. The menus she brought us had the wrong pricing on them but we didn't know it until she bought the check for $74. 2 adult meals and a side order with 2 tea's and a water, we asked about the total on the check and was it right she brought back a menu and started showing us the prices and I told her this is not the menus we had she said O they gave you the wrong menu's. Needless to say they didn't adjust the check nor apologize for the mistake she continued to be very rude so I paid them and we left. I have to say I think chef boyardee in the can from the store has them beat hands down on the food, yeah it was that bad.. I like trying new restaurants and giving them a chance even a few times to get it right but we're done with Olive Branch in greenwood. The service was bad the food was bad the prices are very high and bad, so if you should go- make sure you get the right menu with the right...
