I don't usually write reviews online, but I am still shaking my head in disbelief. I stopped at this Subway because it was right there, when I was on the other side of town from usual. No red flags going in...normal Subway shop. The customer in front of me was antsy...bouncing from one leg to the other. When she got up to the counter, she ordered four subs...but I was baffled at her instructions...all over the place, this sub, that sub, that on that sub, that on the other sub, all this...and then I missed something...but the girl then said she was going home to change and would be back to work there. Meanwhile...her son was running around screaming. He asked the man making the sandwiches if he was the boss. The guy said no...and then the kid went to get a chocolate milk. He stood there putting the chocolate milk bottle in and out of his mouth...then sat it in the chip basket in front of the glass case. Meanwhile, bouncy Mom was grinning and bouncing and chatting. They moved down...and the kid screamed, "MY CHOCOLATE MILK!!!" Mom just pushed him on. The mouth-molested bottle was left in the chip basket. The kid screamed suddenly, "PAY MY MOM!" Meanwhile...a younger employee...red hair nicely trimmed in a shave on the lower half, the longer top pulled back in a ponytail...both ears gauged. He started making my sandwich. I ordered a meatball marinara. He used about a cup of sauce for every two meatballs. At first, I was cool with that, because I like a lot of sauce. (about this time, bouncy Mom called out "I'm gonna go home and change and I'll be back!" Red kept slopping sauce all over my sandwich...by now it was liberally on both sides of the bread. He pushed it along the counter...probably for fear of dumping it out. I asked for cheese. It is in triangles...but he spent an inordinate amount of time re-assembling the triangles into solid squares on the sandwich. when he had a whole row...he counted out 4 more and made a double layer in the center of the sandwich. He asked if I wanted it toasted, and I told him no. He said, "You sure? It's better." I nodded, "Yes, I am sure." He repeated himself...just in case I was stupid, I guess, "You sure? It's better." I said, "I like my bread soft, not crispy." At this point, he used two hands to scoop the soggy sandwich up and move it down to the vegetables. I asked for onions and green peppers...and he literally scooped a HANDFUL of red onions up and dumped them on the sandwich and started pressing them into the soggy bread. I honestly was so shocked I could not speak. I managed a protest when the second handful of peppers went on....and he looked up...then SCRAPED the sauce-covered peppers off and put them BACK in the pepper container. I just wanted to be done at this point. There was nobody else working in the store except the older man who had told the kid he was not a manager. I asked for parmesan cheese. The redheaded kid could not find it...and finally asked the older man, who pointed it out in a container behind the peppers. Liberal cheese application. Good thing I like sauce and parm. The older man rang up my sandwich. I told him I wanted tea...and he rang it up...then literally walked away. I followed the prompts to scan my card...allby myself, because the man AND the kid both went into the back of the store. No receipt. No cup. I reached over and got my own cup. The kid came out with a mop bucket about the time I finished filling my tea. I came home, picked most of the onions and peppers off the soggy sandwich and ate it. I was starving. If this kid is a sandwich artist...he is the Salvadore Dali...because everything is soggy and dripping off...
Read moreI am a very understanding customer and have never given a bad review, but this staff was incredibly rude. I made an online order for 2 basic subs (1 turkey, 1 meatball) and arrived to the store before the sandwiches were made. I was the only person in the store as I informed the young lady that I arrived early to add a few veggies to one of the sandwiches. She told me to wait as she completed an online order. I waited approx. 3mins in the empty store, then saw that the lady began making one of the sandwiches. I informed her that the sandwich was to be toasted, at which the older lady said "it's too late for that". I requested that the veggies be placed on a napkin, and be returned to the sandwich after toasting. They obliged after discussing with one another. The young lady put both of my sandwiches in the drive thru toaster (out of plain sight) and stood and looked at my phone as I waited. 2mins later, I looked up to find that the young lady is wrapping the sandwiches at the drive thru window. I reminded the lady that I came in early to add veggies, and asked her to unwrap one of the sandwiches to add veggies. The older lady then jumps in to say "no, we don't have time" and "it's already made". I attempted to reason that no one is in the store, I am only requesting vegetables, but they pushed the bag towards me and walked off. If I had not already paid online, I would not have taken the...
Read moreIt's ok. The sandwich is nice. The store is nice, but no one seemed to understand, or be able to answer the question I had about up-sizing my drink since the app doesn't let you do much of anything when placing a mobile order. Ok whatever I will wait while they make the sandwich (would have been nice to at least have the cup that came with my order while i wait, but it wasn't going well) Whilst making my sandwich the lady started asking me what I did and didn't want on it. I was sitting at the table not standing in front of the counter. It says what I want on the ticket. It's why I placed a mobile order. (But no one could understand that I would like to get the drink while I wait, and would like to pay to get the bigger size. Also, they were not busy.) I would return here, but definitely just going to wait in my car since communication is an issue here. It would be nice if the app actually allowed you to customize the drink size.
It's also funny how Subways act like if they give you napkins, or a few extra napkins it will put them out of business, but will always give you 10x the amount of veggies that should go on a sandwich. Even when you ask...
