Finding the place was a bit of an issue, especially around 5pm. Downtown Greer is not the easiest place to navigate in the evening.
The gyoza were pretty good, even though the container basically steamed the fried dumplings. The spring rolls would have been great if they also weren’t wet from the packaging.
One of our sushi rolls was missing from our order and somehow when all of the packages were “counted” at the restaurant, there were supposedly 7 rolls all together, but we only received 5 in our order when we went through the bag. Perhaps there was a miscommunication somewhere, as there were 7 containers of food all together, but they were not all sushi. I also paid for and ordered extra sauces and we only received one.
The teriyaki chicken roll was gross. The chicken is either canned or is some kind of spongy, cold imitation substitute. The only sauce on the roll was poured over top and all of the textures were weird and just a bit much, honestly.
The volcano roll only had 5 pieces in it and it was not spicy at all. The salmon on top was pretty dry and overall, the roll was not worth the price tag.
The pork belly roll was just okay. The pork belly looked like it was seared and golden brown in the pictures online, but what I received looked boiled and grey. For that price, I expected better.
All in all, the rest of what we did receive was pretty average and drowned in sauce.
I’m not sure if the prices or the location are worth a...
Read moreRelatively quick time between ordering and receiving my food. Got the sukiyaki beef bowl as my meal. The beef was well marinated and went well with the arrangement of vegetables. Only issues was the proportions. Not able to be seen fully from the picture, but the bowl you receive is pretty small, especially for around $12. I was still very hungry after. You are also paying for primarily rice once you finish the first layer of beef. Probably was 1/4 Meat & veggies and 3/4 rice. Good service but could find better value and serving sizes at other types of Japanese or Asian...
Read moreIt was my first time eating at MoMo's sushi. And I think it is not bad sushi but not the best. They ask for your name and phone number at the time of taking the order and text you once the order is ready which is a great tool so you can walk around as you wait. It is located at the Cartwright Food court which has other food vendors and a coffee bar. There is plenty of tables upstairs but apparently they were out of clean trays so it was a bit challenging to carry all the food and drinks...
