Santana Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Greer

We stopped in here on a whim to grab dinner. BIG Mistake!!When seated, we were ask what we would like to drink. I ask for a sweet tea and so did my husband. The waitress who didn’t speak English yells at us NO. We were like, Coke she walks off and came back with 2 bottles of coke. She brought chips and a bowls of, I guess bean dip. It looked like she opened a can of Lucks beans and threw some shredded cheese on it. Disgusting! My husband went to the salsa bar, if you want to call it that and brought back some sour cream and pico. No salsa The food we ordered was brought out fairly quickly and it was to say the least, bland. They didn’t have any heat, the floor was filthy, the waitress never came over to our table again. The music was blasting through a boom box on a table.When we were paying for the food, I noticed that the chips were in a trash can on the floor, without a lid. We wanted to check this place out at their new location due to all the positive reviews. I'm going to start off with the food was good probably 4 stars. However I will probably never go back for the following reasons. First it was HOT in there, first I thought they didn't have AC then I saw the thermostat. It was set to 70 but it was 84 in the restaurant. Second the music was absolutely blaring. There were 2 other tables besides us and I'm telling you it was uncomfortably loud. Third it had a weird/foul smell, might have been the 84 degree temps along with all the dirty dishes on the tables. Fourth and final the service is non existent here. Waitress took our order, brought our food and that's it. Wife had to go grab us some more cans of soda from the cooler. Normally I would trash a place like this and give it one star. My girlfriend and I decided to come eat here since neither of us have seen or heard of it before. It’s very clean inside and the staff is very nice. Our food came out really quick and was delicious. I have to give this restaurant 2 stars because of the price of the shots. We ordered 2 shots of house tequila and and then another round. Jokingly when our waitress brought the second round of shots we asked her how much they were a piece as we had just placed a bet between $2.50 and $5.00 and she then told us they were $10 a piece. It wasn’t on the menu and we didn’t think to ask before hand because typically house shots don’t exceed $5. The food was 10/10 but I wouldn’t order any alcohol as you might as well buy a bottle.
