An absolute gem! Although I live in New Jersey, I have family who lives in Taylors, not far from Greer. Every single time we visit my family, we eat at Andinos, and every single time, it is a great experience. I have tried items off both the Italian menu and Andean menu and have never been disappointed. The Italian food is second to none (and that's coming from an Italian-American from New Jersey!), and the Andean food is also delicious, especially if (like me) you occasionally want to try something different. I read a few of the negative reviews and honestly feel like they describe an entirely different restaurant. The food here is always fresh and tasty, the service has always been great, and the prices are more than reasonable. My family and I love it so much, we ate there twice the last time I visited the area! Strongly recommend you give it a shot. **UPDATE** It's been almost 3 years since we last visited family in South Carolina due to the pandemic, but upon returning recently, we made sure to stop at our favorite local restaurant, Andino's -- twice, in fact! During our first visit, our party ordered mostly Andean food, splitting the Llapingachos appetizer and three entrees: the Filete De Pescado Al Horno, Lomo Saltado and Chaulafan (the only dish I actually remembered to photograph this time!). The food was OUTSTANDING! And for dessert, which we couldn't pass up, we split a tiramisù, which was also great. On our second visit, we ordered from the Italian menu, splitting a sausage pizza, calzone, and a meatball parm sub, all of which were excellent, as was the service. Suffice it to say, we can't wait for our next visit!!

5-Stars! We ended up here by chance. We went to another Italian restaurant first but the wait was an hour, so we left and went to Andino. We were glad we did. I’ve always wanted to try Andino but low 4 stars didn’t compel me. I can’t speak for others, but our experience was fantastic. It’s a quaint little restaurant. The ambiance is great. Not noisy. Just the faint chatter of other guests. The bruschetta appetizer was delicious. The toppings well seasoned and the bread light and crispy. Our salad was self-crafted from a salad bar (romaine lettuce). It was all fresh. (Hey, staff, if you’re reading this, adding grated Romano cheese, black olives, mushrooms, and Caesar dressing to the bar would make it top-notch! 👌☺️) The fresh homemade garlic dinner rolls were yummy. Perfect for cleaning up leftover entree sauce! 🍝🤤 Speaking of the entrees, my with and I had similar dishes. She had the Fish Francese. I had the chicken Francese. We were delighted! The portion was perfect and it was the best tasting we’ve had in years!! It was the perfect blend of flavors. Great job!!! 👏 👏👏 So, we give it 5 stars and will return again!⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

If I could give it negative stars I would. Italian food was bland the salad bar lacked toppings very limited. My wife got the lomo saltado and there was barely any meat in the dish more veggies than anything else, the dish is called lomo ( tenderloin) saltado not veggies saltado. Servers were ok but weren’t really present and manager was rude and narrow minded. When we approached the manager and told her there was more veggies than meat she proceeded to say “why didn’t she eat the veggies” if your charging 23 bucks for a dish that the main star is meat, make sure that it’s the actual main star. I’m definitely not going back or wasting a cent in that restaurant let alone recommended it to anyone. I’ve been in the food industry for over 10 years first time having such a horrible experience. I’m from jersey so I now what good Italian and Hispanic food taste like

Worst ever !!!!! Me and my family went there for a nice dinner, and we waited at our table for over an hour, the manager forgot to put the order in! She didn't tell us, but we knew because ten minutes later our food came, it was okay, but my dad's was cold, so we asked for a refund because we were all tired and hungry, the manager came over and said no!!! Then proceeded to say she was the owner and that it wasn't cold, she said we were lying because the plate was "burning her hand" she told my mom to touch it and when my mom said no, she said well then I can not give you a refund, in front of all the other customers she argued my mom for 15 minutes, then like 5 minutes later, she asks a coworker to come and tell us she toke it off the bill, she couldn't even come and tell us and was telling us we were wrong when the cheese on top wasn't even melted !!! It was a horrid experience and we will never go back here ever again !! Just a heads up to anyone that goes there, and I am not lying this happened and she was as rude as can be and she didn't care either !!

Response to owner: I understand you are a family owned business, and that you do not have plate warmers but we wern't saying the plate wasn't hot or the veil parm wasn't good, it was cold when he toke a bit out of it, the sauce was hot around it which caused the plate to be hot, but the veil parm its self, he said was cold, and I know you can't taste customers food but if you could, you would have known it was cold, the reason we asked for boxes so fast was because we were very tired and had a long day, we had been sitting there for some time, and my mom asked about the other table because like she said they were done eating before we even got our food, and they had come in a few minutes before us, I understand about the sauteed dishes vs baked dishes, but my dad's cheese was not melted on the top, and he and I both tasted the veil parm and it was good but it was cold, and I also did not like how you argued with us about considering you still got $93 out of my parents, and when you sent someone else to tell us about the veil parm being taken off, my mom was glad, because she did not want to keep arguing and wondering why you were arguing with the customer, when in food and service you are supposed to be the customer is always right, so overall the rest of our was great, but we were shocked by the response when my mom asked for you take the veil parm off, and she did not demand, she is not a rude person, she just wanted her money back since my dad didn't want the food, and at the end of the day, you were telling us that it was valentines day and how nice of a day it was, we knew that, but we also knew that you were the one who stood there and aruged with my mom in front of all of your customers, and we were just shocked considering, in a pandemic like this you wouldn't praise every customer that comes, since you were shut down for a few months on the government law... thank you for responding and I understand some things you were saying but I still do not understand the arguing with a customer, its your business and I wanted to leave an honest rating and opinion that I have on...

went here first time and was unfortunately displeased after reading reviews of this place. and then was very displeased after reading the owners remarks back to the 2 reviews that weren't pleasant, i guess as an owner of your own place entitles you to not care when a customer has had a bad experience.. well, so heres mine. we arrived at around 7:14, pretty busy at this point. and expected that there would be a sit and wait time, so this is Kool, we sat at 7:30, but it was around 7:40 and finally some one comes to take our drink order but at this time were ready to order as well, so we did, about 5 min later "garlic"rolls were brought out (now, when i say garlic rolls, i mean just rolls, they advertise them as garlic, but what we found out was that they basically just lightly touch the rolls with he brush of butter and garlic) while if you order there side of same exact rolls, they actually butter em up, as we were told, but i dont believe you should advertise your free rolls as garlic if there not really garlic, i mean i might have actually bought a side if i had known in beginning but then again i was looking forward to these free garlic rolls and disappointed. well now its about 755 and wow we dont have our drinks. not a good start again. so, we got our drinks.. and they were just 2 waters and 2 kids drinks.. but all the workers seemed more intent and cleaning off tables rather than our drinks. 8:15 dinner served.. yumm.. well kind of, our noodles were undercooked, so they were chewy, both my wife and and our penne noodles,. I ordered the mild sausage with penne, and it was not as generous as helping as i expected, and only 1 piece of sausage that was cut in half. man i dont pay 14.50 for one piece of sausage. and a handful of penne. also at beginning of ordering, we asked if the kids spaghetti could have the sauce on the side? easy request..nope! the server told us that the noodles were cooked in the sauce, SAY WHAT??? so we got the kids dinner and guess what,, the sauce was in a puddle on top of the noodles.. no noodles cooked in the sauce...and there helper doesn't help much when she dont speak English, tried to take my drink away and wouldn't just leave, my wife finally handed her her plate and said here were good just take this. in all honesty there was what looked like three people working the floor and they were more intent and getting the place cleaned up instead of taking care of us customers.. and this over heard by me by several customers that were there.. i hate to say all that, but it is the truth. my wifes meal also did not have much flavor. so owner, i am more then willing to talk as well if you feel this is to harsh or perhaps to just talk. if so. just leave it in the comment back to mine to let me...

If it were possible to give 0 or negative stars, I would. The staff were incompetent and extremely slow. The service was poor at best. It took 3 reminders just to get our drinks served. The food had absolutely no flavor and I got food poisoning on top of that. What really irked me the most was the fact that it took over 1.5 hours and speaking with the staff to finally get our food. Groups of people that arrived and ordered after our party, were served, ate, got dessert, paid, and then left before we got our food. When we talked to the staff, all of a sudden the food magically appeared. The food felt like it had been sitting back in the kitchen under warmers. I got the impression that we had just been forgotten. The staff were all hanging out near the door the entire time and appeared completely unaware as to the goings on around them. Many people actually got up and left without even being served due to the lack of service. After we got our drinks, we werent ever checked on by staff or offered refills for our drinks. Once we had actually gotten up and spoken with tge staff concerning our food, we never even recieved so much as an apology. I highly recommend NOT eating at this establishment.

  • In response to the owners remark. * You apparently do not even know who I am. There was no party near the door. We did not order any appetizers. I personally did not order, nor did anyone in my party, off of the Andean side of the menu. We all ordered Italian. I have 6 other people from my party that can back up my review to the letter. You were not particularly busy that evening. Maybe 6 other tables at 1 time. No food was left on out plates when you came to get them. We believe that it is wrong to waste food and so we either ate what we ordered or we asked for boxes. The fact that your response so closely mimics that of others you have made on other bad reviews, goes to show that you are not really in touch with what is happening in your establishment and are just trying to save face. I question the validity of any of your remarks on other reviews. Your willingness to throw out completely random and false facts as your evidence goes to show the true extent of your incompetence and falsehood.

Major changes would have to be made to the staff, the service, and the food before I would ever consider coming back or recommending this place to anyone.

MY INITIAL REVIEW STANDS. AS WELL AS MY RECOMMENDATION TO AVOID THIS...
