Well, let me tell you about my recent trip to Tom's Dogs and Deli in Greer, South Carolina. Now, as a self-proclaimed hot dog aficionado, I've been around the block a few times when it comes to weenie joints, and let me say, Tom's is a real gem!
From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with that warm, inviting atmosphere that makes you feel like you’re stepping into your grandma’s kitchen—if your grandma was a culinary wizard who specialized in hot dogs, that is! The walls are plastered with all kinds of quirky Americana memorabilia, which just adds to the charm. You can almost hear the classic rock playing in the background, making you want to tap your feet and enjoy a cold soda.
Now, let’s get to the main event—the hot dogs. Oh boy, these aren’t just any hot dogs; these are the real deal. I went for the “All-American Classic,” which is loaded with all the fixins’ you could dream of: mustard, ketchup, relish, and onions. Each bite took me back to summer barbecues in the backyard, with the grill sizzling away and the sun shining bright. And let me tell you, the hot dog itself was so juicy and flavorful, I could practically hear the angels sing!
But wait, there’s more! Their deli sandwiches are nothing to sneeze at either. I couldn’t resist trying the Italian sub, piled high with meats and fresh veggies. It was a flavor explosion that made my taste buds do a happy dance.
The staff at Tom's are like family, always ready with a smile and a joke that’ll make you chuckle. They treat you like you’ve known them for years, which is just the kind of service that keeps you coming back for more.
In conclusion, if you find yourself in Greer, SC, and you’re hankering for some top-notch hot dogs and deli goodness, look no further than Tom's Dogs and Deli. It's like a slice of Americana that’ll leave you feeling full and happy. Trust me, you...
Read moreI don't know why I've never been here before, I guess because I'm not the BIGGEST hot dog fan. So a lot of times if I go to a hot dog place I'll just order a chili dog, no wiener, and that's what I did at Tom's Dogz and Deli today with light chili, onions, mustard & ketchup, so hopefully it wouldn't become such a mess!, and It absolutely paid off! The chili was great, the sweet tea was delicious and very complimentary to it and I ordered 1 of the brownies they sell and it was ABSOLUTELY about the best brownie I have ever had. Very moist and very delicious!! It's kinda of a small place but they have a pretty big menu & they make up for that everywhere else. ... Oh and the couple who run it are always very nice & friendly even when they're busy. I Definitely don't want to leave them out. Thank you so much for everything!!...
Read moreThe restaurant didn't seem to be cleaned to the proper standard it should have been, possibly because there was only a single employee in the restaurant, who seemed very nice. However, the food was underwhelming, portions were small, and was too expensive for what it was. Me and my party ordered the Chicago dogs and the turkey pesto panini. The turkey pesto panini was rather small for it's price range ($7) however the taste was good. I would have liked more pesto on it personally. The Chicago dogs were the highest priced dogs on the menu at $4.50 each, and tasted fine but they cut corners for what a Chicago dog should have been. The drink machines looked dirty, and there was slimy residue on the bottom of the machine. Overall it was edible but I likely won't be returning. Pictured is only half of the...
