DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE Employees are aggressive, unprofessional, & highly immature I flew in from Italy 2 days ago into New York. Haven't been to Wendy's in a few years but wanted something spicy & was closest to my gate to catch my flight home to Greenville, SC.. Had the Ghost Pepper sandwich & was hooked until I visited 1331 W. Wade Hampton Blvd. Waited on line forever. Once person in front of me drove away, I drove up to order, Was asked to wait. Waited a while & didn't mind, ordered my 2 Ghost Pepper sandwiches. Was told to drive up & I did. I knew the car behind me was waiting almost as long as I was so I drove off & pulled over to check my order. By that time the drive through line was several cars deep again. When I opened the sandwich it looked nothing like what I had in New York. I tasted the chicken & it tasted like it looked, like a regular piece of breaded chicken. I had a bonus piece of lettuce & not much else. I decided I would just go in cause surely it was a mistake. I walk in & I approach a young guy with dreadlocks at the counter with his belted waistband of his pants right at the point of his private area with his underwear on full display from his waistline to the point of the waist of his pants was about 6 inches below.. He was looking at me as if I was bothering them. Did not greet me, did not say a word. I told him I ordered 2 ghost pepper sandwiches & what I received is not right. He sarcastically said with an attitude, what is it. I replied not what I ordered. Coming from a background in Corporate Training, specializing in New Hiring Training, Meeting & Exceeding Customer Expectation, Team Building & Management & instantly smelled in the air that this was not going to go well. He nonchalantly took the bag off the counter & went around the corner still within my view. I saw them fiddling, then he came back & handed me the bag. I opened it & was the same sandwich I guess they added some crunchy ghost pepper stuff. I broke a piece off the chicken & it was the same plain old chicken. I asked, "do you folks not have ghost pepper chicken"? WELL THAT WAS IT! Some female came around the corner YELLING that I ordered a Classic Ghost Pepper sandwich. Let me state that I have no idea what that is & never said it. I live for spicy everything, everyday & drove out of my way to go to Wendy's in Greer. I told her I did not say anything about "classic" . I don't know what that is. They had the attitude that I just had to take whatever they gave me. I said may I please get a refund, just give me my money back. The girl who claimed to be the manager, who first approached me yelling , was yelling even louder now. She told the other girl at the window, "give me her money so she can get out of here". She was aggressive & threatening. They were all laughing. I asked why this was funny & is this how you folks treat customers? She yelled out "you ain no customer no more, I gih you your money back. Now get the hell out before I call the police". "I Been here 7 years & I still gon be here, now WHAT." I was in shock. I went back & forth with her & she continued to be threatening. I asked the dreadlock guy what her name was. He said Bobby Williams, make sure to tell them Bobby Williams & started laughing even more. Sure that was a lie. Ms Manager came charging around the counter, threatening to call the police. She stormed out after me & slammed & locked the door. This was an easy fix. Simply say sorry. I misunderstood you or blame me & say you heard what you think you heard, redo the sandwich to the right order, Charge me more if necessary, end of story. Something is wrong w/alleged Manager & she just may challenge the wrong person one day. My husband is retired NYPD (26 years) & thank goodness he was not with me, with all her threatening to call the cops. It was appalling. Is this how employees are trained to interact with customers? This took place tonight 5/11/24 at around 2130 to 2140. I took a look at the reviews here for this location. It's all the same story. I will be following up...
Read moreMy pregnant wife was craving Wendy’s, and I thought it would be an easy solution to Sunday evening dinner while we were out and about since we had our 2 year old with us. This was especially the case since the dining room was empty along with the drive thru line. Surely we would get some great service! Walked in, employees were all wearing headphones and the manager (Jeremy) was working the front counter. He was irritated we were in there, ready to get back to no customers as quickly as possible. We took our seats and he yelled my name out (as if there were other customers in the store) to say our food was ready. As soon as I had our food and we sat down to eat, the manager Jeremy and another girl walked outside to smoke. She was swearing and saying things that should NEVER be said around a 2 year old. As the smoke started to waft in the dining area, my wife and I quickly lost our appetite. I went to the counter to get two bags so we could go home and have a nice clean dining experience. I waited at the counter for a few minutes while the folks in the back with headphones made eye contact with me and complete ignored me. Eventually, the manager Jeremy and the girl came back in, she mumbled how she didn’t want to work there anymore . The girl said “what do you want” I said I’d like to bags for our food please. She silently handed them to me and I said thanks then proceeded to pack our food up and get out of there. This was an atrocious experience and I’ll be running it up the ladder tomorrow when customer care opens. At least it was a good opportunity to explain to my son what it looks like when people do a bad job, so that’s a positive. There’s clearly a reason the dining room and drive thru were empty while neighboring establishments were bustling with customers. This Wendy’s left us dissatisfied in every meaning...
Read moreTerrible, this location is usually bad, but visited recently after not visiting in some time due to dinning room being closed, and it was worse than usual. I waited at least 5 mins. before someone took my order. The manager walked by several times too, so not sure why he did not stop to help, or send someone to take my order. Person didn't know what their "regular" size was, asked me if I knew. They were out of salt, and drink machines was out of most drinks, had to go back to counter to get a drink. Once I received my "meal", I could see the fires were old, so I asked for fresh. The guy said OK, he will bring them out. Ate half my burger, then went to check on fries, and asked another guy about fries. He didn't know, but saw there were none cooking, but failed to put any in. The original guy came up, and he asked him about my fries, and he said "I was in the back", like that was some kind of valid excuse. So why didn't he put any fries in when I asked? The other guy said he would put some in and bring them out. Finally did after I had finished my burger. (see you are supposed to have these together, they are not separate courses...) It is a fast food burger place, and it was busy, and others had to wait for fries too, why would they not have fries cooking all the time? Unfortunately this has become the standard scenario at most fast food places; slow, poor customer service, and poorly trained staff. I...
