The food was pretty decent and I had eaten here once before a long time ago and remembered it to be very delicious. The service was 1 star. After being seated during what appeared to be a slow time as there were only 3 other tables full... My server came out and I ordered the rotisserie chicken which is what this place is named for.
My server told me there wasn’t any rotisserie chicken left because they had a huge catering party and they took all of the chicken. I said that’s odd considering it was a rotisserie chicken restaurant but realized Corona has everyone short on supplies so I said ok that’s not a problem. Then she said, well we might have one left. And I said ok. She looked at me and I looked at her and then I said would you mind asking if there is any chicken left before I place my order and she ran off. Came back and said there is one. So I ordered the sampler with greens. She came back with the food and gave me the cheese grits instead. I ended up getting the greens through another server as mine was no where to be found. After sitting back down to eat, my server asks me if I need anything else and I said no thank you. Then proceeded to ask me if everything was ok about every 3 minutes. (Yes, Three minutes, I timed it) I could barely eat because she kept coming back to my table to ask if everything was ok. I’m guessing because I was the only one of her customers.
I was able to tolerate all of that except at the end, when she brought me my check, it read,$21.02 but then when she took my credit card to run it, she brought me back a receipt for my signature that said $28.61 and that was before the tip.
When I asked her about it, she didn’t even miss a beat and didn’t provide any explanation and said “oh I’ll fix that, my mistake.” Was she stealing from me because that’s what it felt like. What kind of trickery is this?
My advice is to check your final receipt when you eat there. I know times are hard but I would’ve tipped her way more than I tipped her if I didn’t feel like she tried to scam and cheat me out of money.
Also I did tip her more than 22% because times are hard.

Read moreThis is a nice place, in a mall area. Came here for dinner after a movie. It wasn't super busy, so we got seated right away. Our server came by immediately to take the drink order. After perusing the menu, we ordered Tokyo Crab Cakes, Pablo breaded fresh gulf Crab meat, with marinated cucumber, wasabi aioli, and sriachcha. Topped with seaweed salad and. It was a tasty bite. Only a slight crab flavor though. For entrees, I ordered the Rotisserie Sampler, with 1/4 rotisserie chicken, 3 oz. pork and 3 oz. beef trio. You can also pick the sauces, I got sweet chili glaze and pineapple jalapeno glaze. The chicken was pretty good, but the pork and beef were dry and, with the sauces on them, it was hard to distinguish flavor. My two sides were Roasted Corn Grits and Red Beans and Rice. The grits were very good...creamy and delicious, with corn scattered about. The red beans and rice were not the greatest. Seems like they went overboard with the liquid smoke. My Lady ordered the Thai Ribs which are St. Louis style, with a ginger, soy, and Asian chili sauce on them. The ribs are flavorful, and the sauce is delicious, but they use it sparingly so have them bring more to the table to dip in. Our server, although polite and attentive, kept coming behind and between us to serve and take the order, causing us to crank all the way around to address him, or lean out of the way to accept dishes. There was a whole empty side of the table to come to to talk where we could just look up, or serve us without reaching across our face. At the end we were joking he was going to clean up dishes by reaching across us..... sure enough, he did. He could have been inconspicuous from the empty side and taken the empty plates but, NOOO... excuse me (reach in front of my face), excuse me (reach across her face). The place is clean. The...
Read moreThis location isn’t terrible but the service is usually slow whenever I go. I recently called in for a take-out order which I had to call twice to place since I was left on hold for almost 10 minutes. After I placed the order, I arrived to pick up and it was ready for the most part. I gave them my name for the order and they bring out the portable p.o.s. And as I observed the person handling my order, he very slickly added a 20% tip to my takeout order. I asked him does the restaurant automatically charge 20% tips now? He gave me a bumbling response because he did not expect me to catch him doing that. If I would not have been paying attention, I would’ve paid significantly more than what I needed to for this order. I believe this is very dishonest, and concerning not only with this restaurant, but other restaurants as well. It almost feels like you have to pay a tip just to walk in any restaurant or cafe and now they try to sneak 20% tips on takeout orders. I went ahead and change the tip them out, but I will not be ordering from here again. When I dine in, I make sure to leave a good tip for the server, but I don’t see why they need to be sneaking tips on “to go” orders like this. Ever since this experience, I try to make sure my bill is properly charged and not overcharged like this person tried to do. Just a heads up for anyone that goes here make sure you pay attention...
