We had a nice afternoon drive down to a small town called Milner Georgia. We ate lunch at Tim's light house buffet 😋. It was very busy( full), on a Sunday afternoon but we didn't have to wait long, ( about 5 minutes) They have a lot of hard working people there. They worked together to keep everything functioning and flowing efficiently as it should. The buffet had a lot of different food choices and it was kept full and hot or / cold . Everyone was friendly and working hard and fast. The restaurant was clean too. I will be definitely be back. I would recommend this to all my friends and everyone else who might be ready this review. Yummy 😋 Now let's go home...teeheehehe

As a newcomer to Griffin, I often listen to the locals’ recommendations for restaurants. That has been a good idea until I tried this place. I can almost feel my arteries hardening from the fat-laden fare. The fried chicken, two kinds of fried fish, hush puppies and other foods were too greasy. The heavily-salted green beans and other vegetables were over cooked. My fellow senior citizen diners definitely got their money’s worth, but quantity does not trump quality.

I use to visit the Fayetteville location some years back. The one thing I love most about this place is the creamed corn aka fried corn to some. I love southern cooking and places like these are hard to find nowadays that give a taste of nostalgia. Only issue I had with my food could have a tad bit hotter than it was.

I've posted about Tim's before and it was a positive review, but that was for the Fayetteville location ONLY and I still stand behind that review. HOWEVER what we experienced tonight at three Griffin location was dreadful. Too begin with they've crammed a wanna-be buffet into a space not much bigger then a linen closet. The area where the buffet is set up is so small that no more then 3 people can be at one section at a time. We got there about 5:30 (I would consider this prime time dinner time) and the"crowd" started arriving shortly after us. Well the food was not only luke warm but it was old and what I would consider stale. I had to use a second spoon to scrape the mashed potatoes off the first spoon. All of the fried food tasted the same from what I imagine was being cooked in the same vats. My husband's raw onion tasted just like celery (no kidding). The shrimp was tough and rubbery and had a very strange smell and appearance which refrained us from eating it. The only thing that was worth eating was the green beans and the salad, but that's just my opinion. As for the waitress that deemed it necessary to sweep the floor next to our table while we were attempting to eat, well that was the last straw... We Left!!! We will continue to enjoy eating at Tim's but ONLY at the...

My wife and I were recommended to try Tim's by the hostess at the Holiday Inn of Jackson, GA. To be honest I was skeptical, but soon realized I had no reason to be. We arrived about 5:00pm for dinner. As we walked in, I was greeted by a few people which were leaving. I knew this restaurant was what I refer to as a "local hangout". It's an all you can eat buffet featuring all the southern favorites. A small but Great salad bar.. Fried chicken, pork chops, etc. Fresh vegetables. Cornbread. And dessert. Oh my goodness! The best banana pudding I've had in years.

Tim's is small by some standards. But, the food is delicious. The restaurant clean and they follow Covid-19 guidelines like masking on entry, mask and gloves while at the buffet stations. Our waitress was always on the spot to remove used plates or refill drinks.

And all this for $11.00 apiece including drink.

Awesome place if you want to feel like you're home eating at...

We were meeting family at the restaurant, they arrived 6:45 we were running behind but they called and told us that at 7pm our food would only be To go. We got there and saw the inside was still open at 7:15 sat down with them ( after they already paid for us)but we couldn’t use the buffet after 7. My in laws had to make a to go box. The owner told us even though they paid for us to eat the buffet that we could only get to go boxes, we asked why does it say they close at 8 of she said they close at 7but was still letting people in at 7:30 . So my in laws paid for 5 people to eat buffet but we couldn’t eat buffet so they had paid for to go also ,On top of that the lady tells us that if the plates under the weight they would get the money owned but if it’s over then we would have to pay them more. The owner was telling all of us a different story on when they close and how much it is. The food is not worth the bad...
