This was unexpected. I went in expecting a grocery store bar, and what I found was a delight. The bartender, Timothy, was a treasure. He is personable and kind, and he really knows the art of making a good cocktail. His old fashioned was based on ideas picked up from mixology texts such as Liquid Intelligence and Cocktail Codex. He has been making drinks for 17 years, and his Mai tai and old fashioneds are awesome. Timothy was a genuine and open guy, and made me forget I was at a grocery store bar.

In the middle of our meal, someone stopped by to ask if our ketchup was full?? We were not using it so I am not sure why we had to stop our conversation to answer. Literally made the young girl at the table beside us lift her feet so they could sweep under her table. They had just sat her so I am not sure why they could not sweep underneath before that. Especially since when I was walking out there were many unoccupied tables that were very...
