I stopped into Pangaea Global Kitchen last night to pick up some dinner to go. I was really in the mood for a Chicken shawarma because I've heard rave reviews about it. When I got there, everything looked so fresh and delicious. I ended up getting containers of a few different items on display. I am a Hummus and tabouli addict. When I find an extraordinary tabouli I go crazy about it and want to shout it from the rooftops! The parsley was so fresh and tasty. There was just enough lemon juice in it to not overpower the flavor And just enough seasoning to make it my favorite tabouli around. The hummus was so creamy and smooth tasting with just a hint of spice/ seasoning that did not overpower the dish. I saw the Egyptian orzo salad and had to have that as well. I'm telling you, everything that I tasted was perfectly seasoned and not too salty. I had never had tomato kibbeh before until they offered me a taste and I went crazy over that as well. The bulgar and tomato mix was perfect and once again, perfectly seasoned. I'm telling you, they have nailed the seasoning to perfection. Nothing over powering yet nothing under seasoned to get the full flavor of each dish I had. I finally got to the chicken shawarma I originally came in for. By the time I had tasted everything else I totally forgot the shawarma! That in itself was simply amazing as well. I ended up getting two pieces of baklava that were so light and flaky, not too sweet with just enough honey and pistachio mix to make it a perfect sweet to complete my dinner. I will definitely return to this new Little gem in Grosse Point. Next time I go I will be ordering their take on lasagna. That looked...
Read moreYou do not have to be a fan of grape leaves and they will be your favorite from the first bite that was almost my first experience, but my first experience was making the phone call with many questions and to place my first order. Lucas was very attentive, assisting me with choices, explanations suggestions. My order was put together quickly and ready when I arrived. Lucas went out of his way to make a connection with me. He is a good first impression of this establishment the chicken Shawarma wrap with cucumber dip sauce was amazing. I wasnât sure I needed to try any of the other items that I brought home with me, but of course, I could not resist. I tried a couple bites of the potato salad. Itâs like having a little bit of Tabbouleh(tabule was my first choice, but must be top-notch since they were out) next up was garlic dip for Majandra also delicious. I have another meal for tomorrow, but it was a definite will return will order again we love it. Some more will be mouthwatering waiting for next batch of tabouli. I signed up for the emails I followed...
Read moreI stopped by Pangea Global Kitchen today and let me just say, WOW! I tried their Musakhan rolls and shawarma sandwich, and both were absolutely phenomenal. But letâs talk about that shawarma sandwich for a second⊠because that was next-level !!! Iâve had a lot of shawarma sandwiches in my day, from hole-in-the-wall spots to the well-known staples, and I can honestly sayâthis is the best shawarma sandwich Iâve ever tasted. The chicken was tender and perfectly seasoned, the wrap was soft but had a nice crisp, and their garlic sauce? Perfection. It had just the right balanceânot too overpowering, not too bland. Just right. My 18-month-old daughter couldnât get enoughâshe kept reaching for more bites, which is This place is a game-changer, and I canât wait to try everything else on the menu.
