Famous Buffet — Restaurant in Groves

Food was terrible and barely ate one plate so I opted to pay for one TO GO as my table had my single original plate (table service hadn't retired any dishes as I had been there for only 5 minutes). They Still charged for a buffet price. I asked the lady at the cash register why I was being charged a buffet price that I just wanted a to go order and she just pointed at the buffet price and said "same price". They should have somewhere on their menu a to go price but there's no price on there and they claim it costs the same as togo and if you were to eat at the buffet which is absurd. As I tried to make sense of the situation several other workers gathered nearby behind the counter next to her and spoke in their native language. I felt very pressured and basically scammed into paying this.... Never again will I be back or recommend this place to anyone. I paid $15.10 for 2 bites of rice that sat in the cooker for at least 2-3 hours as some parts of the white rice were turning yellow and drying out, And 2-3 pieces of chicken and beef. The cashier was very rude and deceptive as when I originally said if I could only pay for the to go because I didn't want to pay 15 for a buffet I wasnt going to participate in she affirmed me that I could pay a to go price and never once mentioned that it would've been the same price. After being scammed and paying 16 dollars I go to sit down and pick up 3 sugar donuts to at least not feel completely VIOLATED by this buffet. At this point the cashier very rudely walks up to me and complains that I paid a to go and that she needed to take away the to go box. At this point my blood pressure is going through the roof I would've sat there ate my 3 donuts and left. HOWEVER, since she wanted to push the subject with the wrong person I humbled her by educating her. As she sat there telling me she would take the to go box I put my sugar donuts in the to go box gave her their plate and proceeded to fill my to go box with enough food to feed a small family of 4. Had she not been unprofessional with me they would've been out 3 donuts but would've recuperated a to go box (now I'm just getting technical) and saved on supplies since I would've literally left the to go box there. Hopefully she learned her lesson. Thanks for the 4 pounds of food famous buffet. I took it to a group of 3 less fortunate people next to the family dollar on gulfway and 9th Street and fed them. The place is nice inside, with friendly helping employees, and great food. I was worried with the seafood being spoiled, but they were great with no problems on the way home. A lot of Chinese food upsets my stomach, but I didn't even have to make a run for it, Lol. The Mushrooms were the bomb too, but I didn't try to much of anything else except some pizza, which was good, because I couldn't stop with the seafood and mushrooms. I felt freedom inside, because of peace of mind, the buffet, and they knew when to come to your table, and not to disturb you while eating, to see if you needed more drinks when you were low. Not once have i had fresh sushi here in all the times I've eaten here. Food is cold and you can tell it's been sitting there since lunch time. Cucumbers were old and yellow, the BBQ chicken looked like meow meow and the tiramisu cakes was so old it started turning nuclear green. Lord only knows what atrocities are being committed in that kitchen. I will not be eating here anymore and encourage others to spare the disappointment and not eat here as well.
