Argento Patio Bar by Avocado — Restaurant in Guaynabo

Despite being excited based on the great reviews, we had a really disappointing experience here. The service started pretty well, but after we placed our food order soon after arriving, absolutely no servers visited our table. We even had to get up and walk to the waiter to ask for the wine list in order to order a drink. After more than an hour of waiting for our meal, we were informed that some of the items we had ordered were not available. More frustrating than anything, no one offered an apology. The food was finally delivered 75 minutes after ordering and again there was absolutely no apology for the wait. Some of the food including mine was quite good, but others in my party had cold and/or overcooked food. Place is nice. Service was good. Food was ok. My tuna with sesame seed and vegetable lo mein was pretty good. My wife's skirt stake with arroz mamposteao was a different story. The skirt steak was though as nails. The rice was good. The drinks were not good. My moscou mule tasted like pure lemonade and my wife ordered an orgasm cocktail and she was basically served Bailey's on the rocks. We later found out by talking to the waiter that they prepare the drinks themselves. No bartender. I know this is a common practice in many establishments but in such a nice place you would expect a trained bartender to make the drinks. Especially if you are expected to pay 10 dollars for it. The place has a big upside. It's beautiful and cosy. Ohh by the way, the guy working the valet parking is not very kind. He seemed upset...

I am leaving this place very upset. I have a service dog as I have a disability. As I walked in the door, the waiter only offered my outside seating. Mind you it was raining I asked to see a manager as I am allowed by law to sit inside and the manager expressed that I am only allowed to sit outside as he doesn’t want to bother other patrons of the restaurant just in case someone doesn’t like a dog. I expressed he is not a pet and is a service animal. I offered to show disability paperwork, which I don’t have to, but I carry with me as an opportunity to educate people on service animals and my rights. I will be reporting this restaurant and taking the necessary steps to ensure that they are well educated on...
