LongHorn Steakhouse in Guaynabo is where dreams come true—well, at least if your dreams involve perfectly cooked steaks, buttery bread, and enough sides to make your table look like a buffet. This place is a carnivore’s Disneyland, and I’m here for it.
First off, the steaks are on another level. Juicy, tender, and cooked exactly how you want them—seriously, it’s like the grill master read my mind. I went in thinking I’d just have a "light dinner," but by the time I was done with the ribeye and those insanely addictive mashed potatoes, I was wondering if they’d wheel me out with a forklift.
The complimentary bread? Let’s talk about it. They give you this warm, fluffy loaf with whipped butter, and honestly, I’d go there just for that. Bread game = strong.
The service was also top-notch. Our server was friendly, quick with recommendations, and even had us laughing by the end of the meal. They know how to make you feel welcome without hovering too much (because let’s face it, nobody wants an audience when they’re devouring a steak the size of a dinner plate).
The only downside? Trying to resist dessert after a meal like that. Spoiler: I failed. Their molten lava cake was the final nail in my "I’ll start my diet tomorrow" coffin.
LongHorn in Guaynabo is the kind of place where you go big or go home. It’s fun, filling, and absolutely worth every calorie. Just make sure you bring your appetite—and maybe schedule a nap afterward. Highly...
Read moreLonghorn is exactly what you can expect it to be. It’s a franchise restaurant, so it is very unlikely to ever deliver an outstanding dining experience. But it is cute, with its cowboy theme, it cranks out tasty food at a good pace, it is reasonably priced, and the portions are generous. This is quite firmly and unabashedly a beef restaurant. You can get a couple of chicken dishes, and one fish plate, and the rest is beef. So don’t take your vegetarian friends there. For what it’s intended to be, it’s good. The meat is good, all the food is tasty and unapologetically unhealthy, and if that’s what you crave, you’ll certainly come out satisfied. The restaurant is big, and there are lots of waitstaff. Some are very competent and nice, some less so. During our last visit, we got one of the later. The food was brought out of order, placed randomly on the table, and they generally seemed a bit out of it. But there weren’t any serious mistakes or unpleasantness, so the worst that can be said is that the service was marginally adequate, but...
Read moreIn the states I've never been disappointed going to LongHorn. However, I found the most restaurantes in PR are just different. They are on island time. Having said that...when I got my food... it wasn't hot at all. I was disappointed and had hoped for better. The waitress tried hard so I gave a better star rating. Everyone got their drinks but me. 20 minutes later we had to ask for my glass of wine. She said it had to go through two people above her just to get the glass. I didn't understand that but it is what it is. I left feeling like I paid a lot for a meal that was cold, drinks that came late and food that came out at different times and not all together as we were a table of 4. Unfortunately I won't be going back to...
