Yo Mochi Donuts — Restaurant in Guaynabo

Every time I passed by Yo Mochi in Guaynabo, the place was packed—like they were giving the food away. The moment you opened the door, the last person in line would practically fall out, and to get in, you had to leave your guardian angel outside. But this time, with the movie theater under renovation and parking wide open, I finally made it in. The service was better than at a spa—they explained everything, from the concept to the seasonal flavors. I tried a few, but the Crème Brûlée donut made me question my relationship with sugar, and the Snickers one was right behind it with quiet dignity. It’s not my kind of place—neither in style nor sweetness—but I totally get why it caused such a buzz...

My wife, who doesn’t speak Spanish, was met with surprising rudeness. She politely tried to explain—in broken Spanish—that she doesn’t understand the language. Instead of offering understanding, the server/cashier insisted that she first ask him if he spoke English before he would even respond in English.

This place has real potential, but experiences like this make it hard to return. Poor service can ruin even the best of establishments. Unfortunately, this will be our last visit—and we’ll be sharing our experience...

Las donas de mochi estaban buenas, aunque se le habían agotado casi todas las que me interesaban y los mochi dogs (que fue la razòn principal por la que fuí) fueron una GRANDÍSIMA decepción. Los anuncian en SUS videos de SUS propias redes sociales con mucho queso (como un palito de mozzarella gigante), pero cuando pides el auténtico, es puro aire con muy poco queso. Al final yo y mi novio dejamos todo el plato; recomiendo encarecidamente no gastar dinero en ello. 🫠💔 Los vídeos de clickbait me quitan las ganas de apoyar un establecimiento y no creo que ni yo ni mis amistades lo visitemos con algún típo de urgencia después de mi experiencia. Yo esperaba un poquito más.

Mochi donuts were good altough they had sold out of pretty much all the good ones. But the mochi dogs were such a HUGE disappointment. They advertise them on THEIR official social media pages with so much cheese (like a giant mozzarella stick), but then when you get the real thing its all air with a very small amount of cheese. I ended leaving the hole thing, I highly encourage NOT to waste money on it. 🫠💔 Click bait videos make me not want to support an establishment and I don't think I'd visit with any urgency after my experience.
