hey! as a starbucks barista of three years i would never normally leave a review like this but i highly recommend skipping your coffee if this is the only location near by. the sweet girl with the septum piercing working front was super kind and friendly(didnt catch her name) but the barista working on bar, Will, was extremely rude when I asked him about my drink because I had been waiting for awhile and he was just calling out mobiles that were not even there yet … He told me I could go to the front and get a refund when im pretty sure starbucks policy is we do everything to avoid a refund. I asked someone for help that was just standing around (theres sm to do how are you just standing?) and she was rude and said im not on front. I then asked jaiden for a refund and she was nice and just offered to go make my drink but my iced chai was made so wrong and to be honest I didn’t know you could make syrup and milk wrong. alsooo there were two flies in the pastry case and the portable foaming blender was on the wooden counter barely rinsed? Honestly was so grossed out should have just gotten the refund. Unfortunately i’m on vacation so I won’t make it back to have my drink remade but trust me, do not come to this location. Fly to colorado and we will serve you right...
Read moreI mean no disrespect, but as a former employee of Starbucks, and batista for several coffee shops along the gulf coast for 10 years - I was very disappointed with the preparation of my drink. I don't know how the training is in comparison to what it was in the early 2000's - but I remember my training to be very thorough and had very high standards for the consistency of their drinks. I will say, I understand we are in a high season, close to the holidays. It was relatively busy - but with the knowledge I have within the company and Watching the batista steam the milk was severely disappointing. The way the milk hit the steam wand was not properly executed. To an almost pointless degree. If this is their autopilot for busy service, their drinks will not be up to Starbucks standard. Sub par flavor and just a disappointment as the espresso sat too long as well and the flavor was burnt. I don't frequent Starbucks often anymore, but when I do, I enjoy watching the batista as it's a craft that I do miss now that I'm no longer in the industry. My review is not on customer service, as it was excellent- but more as a recommendation that their batistas may need more attention and training on the details that hold Starbucks drinks to such a...
Read moreDid a mobile order for a Venti Americano and a triple grande gingerbread latte. I asked for a small cup of half and half for the VENTI americano. HAZEL hands me the little cup, which had approximately 2 oz at the most. I waited and she went about her orders, finally I said excuse me, could I please get some more half and half, HAZEL looks at me grabs the cup and says "we can only give no more than 4 oz or we have to charge you." 1. I have never EVER been talked to like that or told that "policy" in all the years I have been coming to Starbucks. My husband and I go all the time, and he always gets the exact same thing. 2. HAZEL did not give me anywhere close to 4 oz. 3. CHARGE ME THEN! I have money, so you shouldn't talk to people like they don't. I have NEVER encountered someone so rude at a Starbucks. If you don't like your job, then get a new one. Stop being ugly to people who are trying to have a nice vacation.
Edit: went across the bridge to Pensacola and went to the Starbucks on E. Gregory St. Super friendly and gladly gave me a small cup of half and half for the VENTI americano....
