Captain D's — Restaurant in Guntersville

This CPT Ds is the worst staff store I have been in. Have been in here a few times over the past 2 months and every time I have to wait 20-25 minutes for my dinner. While there was an assistant manager out side smoking. The poor manager on duty is running the front and drive-thru at the same time. I don't understand how the General Manager can staff her store like this. It look like that the cook didn't even know how to cook anything. So the Manager had to run to the back and drop the food and then come back up to the front to take another order. Then return to the kitchen and make the plates. Is this how we run a business now a days. Cut back so much and expect one person to do 3 jobs at the same time. I would think upper management for CPT Ds would come down here and see what is going on and make some changes. Teach the GM how to properly staff the store, cause it seems like she doesn't know how. How about train the ones that you do have on more than one thing. Learn the front and back of the house so to speak so they can help out where the manager needs them, instead of just standing on one spot and say, "I don't know how" to do that. $16.00 for a veggie plate and 6 hush puppies and you get, old brown potato that's so cold the butter and cheese isn't even melted and it's hard as a rock. The hush puppies are full of grease, mushy and cold. We eat here often but the past few times it's just gotten worse each time. I will be calling tomorrow as they are now closed. Who would hand this out the window knowing its inedible?!? Truth is, when they lost Khalil or however it’s spelled, they also lost a lot of their regular customers as he was one of the few that appeared to appreciate and show passion towards the customers and food he served them. This was the ONLY Captain D’s my family ate at because the food was always fresh, the business was always clean and you were always greeted with a smile and treated with respect. I don’t know anyone that works here personally but I have seen this business fail since management...

This location has diminished drastically over the years, multiple complaints while we were dining in, 2 incorrect drive thru orders;nevertheless, they had our food up in a decent amount of time. The only real issue ,aside from it obviously being fairly old. I ordered the mid Atlantic crab cakes with fish and shrimp. They instead gave me a single stuffed crab then acted confused on why I was wanting it corrected. After arguing with 2 of them a lady says they are out I ask for a seafood patty for each of the crab cakes and then they say give us 5 mins and we will cook the crab cakes.... this is why u get 2 stars. Try to give me the wrong food without explanation and then turn and say oh well since u complain ed we will cook the right food for you.... take the drive to the Arab store you definitely...
