Just had lunch there, never going back. Ordered 2 platters chicken makhani + chole, chicken tikka burger and 2 lassies, plain and mango. Chole and mango lassi were the only 2 things that were OK. The rest..... It took them until the very end of the meal to finally produce the drinks, we were about to leave, then my plain lassi was sweet, given I never asked them how they serve it, they tried to convince me that this is the ONLY way plain lassi comes, sweet, and I just don't know any better, but they changed it at least when I complained. One last thing, which seems strange, they offer metal dishes to indian folk and plastic to everyone else. When I asked why, they forgot how to speak english all of a sudden.
Update after the owners reply: Yes I know you are not a 5 star restaurant, I was talking about METAL DISHES you have reserved for other customers, not the utensils. Also, no refund is needed, we are just never going back to your...
Read moreWhen thou is in need of consistent great desi food Parathas & Platters has thy covered. The place is clean and immaculate with photos of iconic places in Pakistan. We went here for breakfast on a Sunday. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The menu had many paratha options to wraps to weekend specials such as omelette with paratha to halwa with puri to nihari with naan or paya with naan. We tried omelette with paratha, halwa with puri, chicken keema paratha, and chicken paratha roll. We saw the cook prepare the parathas and puri fresh and from scratch which is why it tasted authentic and homemade like my mom would make. We also tried the mango lassi which was disappointing as tasted more like a slushie. The chai was good. They also had burgers and chicken tenders which we did not try. This place delivers both ambiance and delicious food. If you’re in the Hackensack area and craving fresh homemade parathas do check...
Read moreWe recently visited Paratha and Platters in Hackensack, NJ, and were thoroughly impressed with the food! The goat paya was absolutely divine—rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. It was clear that a lot of care and tradition went into preparing this dish. The paratha roll was another standout, with tender, juicy filling wrapped in a flaky, freshly made paratha.
The crispy chicken sandwich was a pleasant surprise—perfectly seasoned and fried to golden perfection, with a crunch that was satisfying in every bite. And just when we thought the meal couldn’t get any better, the kheer arrived. It was creamy, delicately sweet, and a perfect way to end the meal.
The portions were generous, the service was friendly, and the overall experience felt authentic and welcoming. This spot is a hidden gem for anyone looking for comfort food with bold flavors. Highly...
