I’ve lived exactly 5 minutes away from Bob Evans my whole life. For 18 years I have eaten at Bob Evans and not once during any of this time have they EVER gotten my order correct on the first try. Every time I eat in at Bob Evans I have to send the food back because it’s incorrect. Every time I order take out I know to double check it because it will 100% be wrong then I have to send it back. I order home fries, instead I find hash browns that I’m allergic to. I order regular pancakes, instead I get waffles. Like it’s not even like the order is a little bit wrong, it is desperately incorrect. I almost want to apply here for a job to see if I can fix their incredibly drastic mistakes. From someone who worked as a waitress at Cracker Barrel, the servers are only responsible for making the drinks, biscuits, salads, and toppings. So I don’t blame the server for my order being wrong I blame them for not noticed such a big mistake. At the intake counter at Cracker Barrel there is a order ticket that hangs above the metal counter rack where the cooks hand the food off to the servers, servers are responsible for double checking the order before taking it to a customer, it’s ok to miss a small mistake in the order but when it’s as big a mistake as they constantly make the server should notice it. It’s not that hard “Oh she asked for a salad and there’s no salad, only a bagel; maybe her order is wrong” like I’d understand if it was a hard or difficult task but it truly is not...
Read moreComing from a fellow Bob Evans server from a different location, I was highly disappointed. Our server didnt even look at us when taking our order, also did not listen/hear when we requested no onion on our sandwich, if she would of looked at us or even repeated our order back that could of been avoided. When food was finally dropped and we realized their was onions after requesting no onions it took 5 minutes before we flagged down a different server to get ours to fix it, she didnt even apologize her response was "maybe if you would of told me that" then turned away. It then took an additional 10 minutes for the new sandwich to come out, and she slammed the plate down without saying a word or even looking at us. She never came back to our table to check and see if the new sandwich was okay or if we needed refills. Their were multible servers standing at the end of the server line all talking amongest themselves while we sat waiting for our check. We had to go to the cashier to finally get it. And when we asked to speak to a manager about the experience, she didn't make any efforts to fix the situation. We paid in full for the meal, without even offering any discount at all. Read moreMy scrambled eggs were chopped up and so over cooked they were dry. Nasty! Bacon was under cooked. Fat part was raw and the lean was under cooked.Yuck! Hash browns were under cooked and tasted odd. 🤢 Hot cakes were good. However I asked for extra butter when food was served. I had eaten more than half before the waitress returned to ask uf everything was okay. It took her so long because she stood talking to another customer that entire time. When she asked was everything okay I replied yes. Why? By that time I was almost finished eating the hot cakes and drinking my tea and since we were almost finished why bother to say anything else. All the food had black flecks in it. Obviously it was prepared on a dirty grill. When finished we looked up and the waitress was again standing and talking to the same. I left the table and went to the bathroom. When I returned my husband hadn't received the check. Tired of all this I went to the hostess and asked if she could get me a check. She returned promptly. I motioned my husband to come to the register. I paid the check. I did not leave a tip. DUH! Don't plan to eat at this Bob Evans when I pass thru Hagerstown...
