This pharmacy is listed on both the CVS and Veteran Affairs website as participating in the Mission act, allowing veterans to fill prescriptions at local pharmacies. When I went to urgent Care, I called the VA and they gave me this address to send my prescription to. The first visit my wife went in, and they told her $170 and they had no idea what she was talking about. She second time, I went in there and they said I needed a pre-authorization number. This was for a prescription of antibiotics from urgent care, not a routine prescription, so I didn't need pre-authorization. The third time I went in I had the CVS national hotline on the phone to help assist them with the process. Keep in mind, this whole time I'm sick... I called the national CVS help line in the parking lot and waited on hold 20 minutes. She verified this pharmacy does participate in the Mission act, and I kept her on the phone and went inside. The girl attempted to be helpful and looked it up on her computer, and the representative on the phone told me to have the pharmacist call the CVS help line for employees if there are any problems. We ended the phone call. 5 minutes later the girl came back and said she was unable to do it without a pre-authorization number. I told her to please call her help line and she asked ME for the number to HER employee help line. I've reported this pharmacy to the VA and CVS corporate as not participating in the Mission act, and will try any pharmacy other then CVS in the future. In the meantime, there's nothing for me to do except not fill my prescription, because I don't have $170 for a 7 day course of...

I am incredibly disappointed with my recent experience at this pharmacy. I called in advance to confirm that my prescription was ready for pickup, but when I arrived, I was met with an unnecessarily long wait and disrespectful treatment from the staff.
After being told my prescription was ready, I still had to wait for over 45 minutes. When I politely inquired about the delay, the staff member said they paged me 30 minutes back. Showing a complete lack of professionalism and concern for my time because I was in the store that entire time and didn’t hear my name once.
Telling a customer their medication is ready and then making them endure a long wait with a poor attitude is unacceptable. Especially when someone is ill. This level of disrespect and inefficiency is appalling. At the end of my visit I received old prescriptions that I no longer use and did not receive the prescription that I had requested and had been waiting for. I will be taking my business to a different pharmacy from now on and would advise others to...
Read moreMy husband got to pharmacy 3 minutes before closing time. He drove from his restaurant in Montgomery county to hagerstown so he made it to pharmacy before closing to pick my prescription. Lady at the counter took all the information and then said ** oh, I am not going to keep my technician here. I am not going to take care of this. We are closed. Even though it was only 8:01pm. If you were closed why did u took the information then?? My husband complained to the manager up front. He was worse then the one at the pharmacy desk. We have family business of 18 restaurants. We know what customer service means. If u get 50 customers a day, Think about how many customers you can get by providing excellent customer service. Being nice is not that difficult. Only unfit for the job/ crazy/ or racists misbehave like this the way these two behaved with my husband. They both should be replaced with the ones who know how to provide...
