China King — Restaurant in Hagerstown

The food is very good but the service is absolutely lousy! When entering the restaurant, no one greeted or acknowledged me. After I waited for minutes, the hostess grudgingly stood behind the cash register and did not ask if she could take my order or anything!!So, I placed my order and was told the order would be ready in 20 minutes. While awaiting my order, I was informed my order had been mistakenly picked up by the delivery driver. The driver returned with my order and an apology. Here's the thing, there was no apology from the manager or hostess for a delay nor was there any effort/offer to make it right for the inconvenience of having to wait for the return of my order. They should have offered to prepare the order afresh and let me make the decision to continue to wait. Nope. Nothing. I left the store with my order but decided to come back and express my displeasure with the service. As I expressed my sentiment to the hostess, the manager was present and had nothing to say. No apology. No how can we make it right. Nothing. Needless to say, I will not EVER grace the doors of this establishment again and would recommend China Wok over China King for your dining. I have been going to China king for years and years. And I have never been treated so rude as what I was the other day the woman hung up on me and then I was told that my food would be ready in 10 minutes I waited about 15 or 20 Before I went to pick it up. And as I waited in line I went on and paid the lady. She was extremely rude. Good. And she started waiting on someone else I said excuse me I don't have my food yet she said well it's not done yet. I said OK well then could I please get a receipt she said NO we don't give receipts to people who pay cash. The gentleman that took my order over the phone came out to me about 5 or 10 minutes later and ask me what was I waiting for I told him I had ordered some soup and he went in the back and brought it straight out. That was ridiculous I had to wait almost an hour for a bowl of soup because the woman was so rude and I mentioned it to the supervisor and he totally he totally dismissed it. Read it I guess hes so hard up for help he don't care how people treat their customers. I used to be a customer. But I'm gonna tell everybody I know about the treatment that I received and gonna put it on...

So the food is good, but having literally just ordered from there I am highly dissatisfied with my order because I had to stand in my kitchen and make rice. I ordered orange chicken and beef and broccoli and egg foo young, yet they gave me not a single container of rice. When I spoke to the sales rep he assured me that all three orders would come with rice and I have received none. The fact that I had to stand in my own kitchen and make rice after I paid 45 dollars for the food is simply outrageous. I gave them a 5 dollar tip and ended up paying 50 dollars and some change for an incomplete meal. The chicken was very well made and the Lomain was also quite good, but the service is lacking. I am speechless right now and I honestly don’t think I will be ordering from them again considering that they could not even give me a complete order. I feel like I overpaid for what I was given and I feel like the tip was undeserved. I am sorry to be writing this 1 star review but this is unacceptable.
