Rhubarb House — Restaurant in Hagerstown

Had lunch today at the rhubarb house. Look at their menu online the ordered for pickup. They have Dine-in available. Their hours are from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. they also offer curbside pickup if you prefer. We ordered a veggie melt sandwich, and the steak wrap sandwich. Both came with chips and a very nice fruit garnish a pineapple and strawberry. The young lady that took our order was very pleasant. And when we got there to pick up our order it was ready and waiting for us in a very nice cellophane bag with a red ribbon around it. The food was very tasty . I had the steak wrap sandwich and it was made with flank steak which is one of my favorites so I was very happy and the coleslaw was very good that was in the rap . My wife had a veggie melt sandwich served open-faced on focaccia bread with smoked mozzarella and grilled marinated vegetables it was very tasty and she enjoyed it greatly . This was our first trip to the rhubarb house and it will not be our last . The food and the prices are both excellent . Thank you for making a wonderful lunch for us . This is another local restaurant in Hagerstown that has been around for a while but still needs the locals to eat there or order food to help small businesses survive through this pandemic. As I've said in my other reviews we need to support all of our local restaurants and stores so that the money stays here in the community and helps out the people around us to keep their jobs and to be able to make an living and pay their bills. We have been coming to the rhubarb house for the past couple of years and it never disappoints! The restaurant is always clean . The waitresses are very friendly and very knowledgeable. When i asked for a sweet tea i was told they do not have that but suggested I try a 1/2 tea 1/2 lemonade which hit the spot. The food is freshly made and is delicious , the fresh fruit garnish is a nice touch too. We even went for the home made banana walnut coconut cake that was topped with freshly made whipped cream, it was to die for! We will absolutely be going back , and we hope you give...

Obviously, these people don't want our business. The woman was on the phone ok, She took another call before seating us. 20 minutes passed, and there was no menu when she took us to seats.i asked for the menu, and it was still on the phone. When she finally gave us the menu, didn’t apologize. Really, is it that hard to give menu when seated. I asked for hot tea My husband said, "Let's leave ." I never write bad reviews.. We are traveling and don't know the area I guess they don't want to make money. Maybe they should hire more...
