This location seemed to only care about signing up members but then letting all of their crucial equipment die soon after and not want to repair it in a timely manner.
First of all this place has no air flow. Ceiling fans have been broken for days and nobody can give me an estimate and when they will be repaired. Due to this I have to go to another location and I'm sure many other members will change their home gym as well. This is very unhealthy to let stagnant air with 300 people working out and many coughing just sit and hang in the air. It's also extremely hot. Multiple fans and their other rooms are broken as well. They also did not plan out how many large ceiling fans they would need for a place of this size and they probably only have half as many as they need. On top of that they are poorly placed. I think the temp this gym is set at does not account for the number of people working out and the amount of heat being generated or maybe the AC is just broken.
Early on weekends they play rap music with profanity.
AbSolo Machine by wall has has a broken seat since the gym opened 2 months ago.
Locker rooms often STINK ! No air fresheners at all. No fans for air flow either so it's hot and smelly.
Almost always a line for the water fountains because they placed the two touching each other and nobody uses the second one or they will be in the first person's lap. People filling bottles and makes people wait in line even longer. The fountain also give off WARM water. Nobody wants to drink warm up water when they are hot from a workout. The cold water worked maybe twice but almost always warm even if you were in line and it had time to start running cool. Please space out these water fountains by about 8 feet. There is room there next to the spinning room. Hundreds of members and one fountain is no good.
This place is full of athletes foot / ringworm with so many walking around barefoot before and after yoga. If your skin touches any piece of equipment, make sure you clean it well first. Wash hands often and don't touch your face. I talked to four people who caught this in 1 week here
People leave their gym bags and possessions all over the floor like they are at home. Often it's in the middle of a main walking path, they walk away and go workout on the other side of the gym. This is against Crunch policy but not enforced. See my photos for all the bags on the floor in just a three inute time span on Saturday morning when there wasn't even that many people at the gym. This is a trip hazard. People leave huge water bottles and their tripods to take their selfie videos out all over the place in the way also. Please enforce your policies for the safety of others. If someone falls your waiver is not going to hold up I'm court when you were not enforcing safety policies. Not only is this dangerous but people this crap where they leave their bag next to a piece of equipment, go to the other side of the gym to use equipment then yell at you when they come back because you are on THEIR equipment. This bag leaving and claiming has to stop. This situation happens to me daily. My sister actually canceled her membership because she tripped over bags & tripods out in the open too many times.
No FLAT hydromassage to roll over and massage store areas on front of body like PF North Miami Beach gym has. Please replace one.
Even a month to month membership requires 90 day commitment and the annual fee billed at 60 days.
No upkeep on cleaning or repairs in locker room Broken locker doors just sitting in a locker and hand prints all over the inside of the bathroom and changing room stalls. It looks like they have never been cleaned since the walls were installed. The shelves in the HIIT room look like they have never been cleaned. See photo
Compression beds don't have correct timers. It says 30 min session but the bed cuts off at 10 as that is the limit . This means everyone is only getting the first 1/3 of the program. Please have beds...
Read moreNew, Large, clean gym with tons of machines both typical and unique. Good staff. No lock needed for lockers are you set your own combo on the locker.
Now for the not so good.
The place is hot as hell. People breathing heavy, germs and very little air flow is not good. The gym of this large size only has three ceiling fans that were poorly placed fans appear to be on low. Please turn the AC and the fans up. It's awful to workout like this. I think the temp this gym is set at does not account for the number of people working out and the amount of heat being generated or maybe the AC is just broken. You could also go for another few days for a gym this size.
Water fountain has gross room temperature water and low pressure at the water fountain. Staff should check out the same type of water fountain at PF North Miami Beach for how cold it should be and the pressue it should have.Almost always a line for the water fountains because they placed the two touching each other and nobody uses the second one or they will be in the first person's lap. People filling bottles and makes people wait in line longer due to how slow it flows. Please space out these water fountains by about 8feet.
I talked to four people that got it here this week alone.
There is an AI voice over the loudspeaker all the time. It's blurry, can't hear what it's saying, highly annoyingly and if startles people worse than the lunk alarm at Planet Fitness. This is dangerous and awful.
No FLAT hydromassage to roll over and massage store areas on front of body. I have so many friends that won't leave P. Fitness in North Miami Beach ONLY because they have this. Please replace one of your hydromassage with the flat style. I heard that you may be expanding. Please expand to add another cryo chair also.

Long lines for machines because although some have two of the sam, the second one has been broken for weeks. Mind you this gym has not even been open four weeks. One the AbSolo machines next to the wall with the broken seat is an example. It's been broken for four weeks of the five weeks this gym has been open.
No upkeep on cleaning or repairs in locker room Broken locker doors just sitting in a locker and hand prints all over the inside of the bathroom and changing room stalls. It looks like they have never been cleaned since the walls were installed. The rest of the gym has looked cleaner than when it first opened so the cleaning people are doing a better job outside of the locker rooms
Compression beds don't have correct timers. It says 30 min session but the bed cuts off at 10 a that is the menee limit . This means everyone is only getting the first 1/3 of the program. Please have beds timed to 10 min programs if 10 min is the membership limit.
To the reviewer complaining that there are only 40 parking spots..... What are you talking about? There are hundreds. This is in a strip mall. I've never had a problem parking very close. There is always someone coming out just follow them to their closely parked car and take the spot after they leave. Also you not be might not be aware but there's another 100 parking spots...
Read moreI was excited when Crunch of Hallandale finally opened… but honestly, this gym is a mess.
When I walked in, it was hectic and overwhelming. One staff member asked if I had signed up on the app, then walked me through how to do it. After that, I was passed to another person who took my picture and asked what I planned to do that day. I told him I was there to use the treadmill. He offered a tour, and I said yes because I wanted to check out the classes. Instead of showing me around, he passed me to a female sales rep who looked me up and down, clearly judged me, and basically decided I wasn’t “worth her time.” She then handed me off to yet another rep. At that point, it felt less like a gym visit and more like a game of hot potato.
Parking was a nightmare — 20 minutes just to find a spot. Inside, the gym was overrun with both staff and members, and it was pure chaos. It’s obvious they focused more on signing up as many people as possible than on actually managing their capacity.
Since then, I’ve tried going three more times at different hours, and it’s always the same story: no parking, no machines, no benches, and classes you can’t book ahead of time because the app only lets you reserve a few hours in advance and everything fills up immediately. It’s frustrating and completely unorganized.
Crunch of Hallandale feels like it was planned for marketing, not for real gym use. I signed up early and haven’t been able to actually work out even once.
👉 I don’t recommend this location at all. It’s overcrowded, poorly managed, and their priorities seem to be...
