But this place has so many 5 star reviews for some reason and my experience was so horrible that I thought maybe it used to be good but now it’s changed and people should to know about it! First of all the wait was ridiculous! First waiting to get seated, then waiting to make our orders, then waiting to get our food, the waiting to get the check, then waiting to pay for our food. Every single step of the wait was accompanied by a ridiculous wait. Like I’ve never waited for that long for any food in my entire life. And they were not even busy. Half of tables were not occupied. Many other customers complained about the same thing and the waiter just kept saying they knelt have 2 cooks. In the end I was tired of waiting for the waiter to process my payment so I walked to the cashier my self but there was nobody there. When the waiter finally arrived I pointed out (very calmly and respectfully) that if they are so short staffed and it takes so much time to serve people they should let their customers know in advance that the wait is unusually long and let them make an informed decision. The administrator seating nearby overheard our conversation and said that they didn’t care about customer feedback. Like literally said just that!! Read moreI love IHOP, BUT TODAY IT. WE WAITED TO BE SEATED FOR 15 MIN. WE NOTICED THERE WERE TWO WAITERS ONLY IN THE RESTAURANT & 3 COOKS. TRY HOLDING UP YOUR PHONE FOR 15 OR EVEN 2 MINUTES W/O LOOKING AT IT AND SEE HOW LONG IT FEELS. THE WAITER WAS VERY POLITE AND TOOK THE ORDER. WE WAITED FOR 45 MINUTES AFTER SHE PLACED THE ORDER, IT GOT BUSY REAL FAST. SHE ALREADY WAS SERVING 3 TABLES + OURS = 4. ONE OF THEM HAD 10 ADULTS AND 2 TOTS/KIDS. STILL, WAITER CONTINUED TO BE VERY POLITE THROUGH IT ALL. MY POINT: IT WASN'T THE WAITERS FAULT SHE JUST DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO OFFER MORE WATER, NAPKINS, NO SYRUP ON THE TABLE, OR IS EVERYTHING OKAY AGAIN, STILL NOT THE WAITERS FAULT. HER JOB IS WHAT PAY HER BILLS, PUT CLOTHES ON HER BACK, AND FOOD ON THE TABLE. AGAIN MY POINT: A VERY WELL-KNOWN PANCAKE 🥞 AND BREAKFAST RESTAURANT AND MAKES MILLIONS $$$$$. MEANING, THAT FOOD COMES LATE, THE SERVER CAN'T BRING MORE WATER, ETC. ACCOMMODATE YOUR CUSTOMERS SHE MIGHT NOT EVEN GET A TIP. PLEASE, THIS IS NOT THE ONLY RESTAURANT THAT DOES THIS. JUST ACCOMMODATE YOUR EMPLOYEES TO BE APPRECIATED BY YOUR CUSTOMERS. YOU GET PAID EITHER WAY, BUT THE SERVER MIGHT NOT RECEIVE THEIR TIPS.
