Panera Bread — Restaurant in Hallandale Beach

In one month that I lived in Hollywood, I tried this place and never felt good getting food from here. Today March 24th 2021, after my morning jog, I went to pick up my coffee and bagel that ordered through MyPanera App. I place order around 8:10 and went to pick up around 8:32. The manager, I think she said her name is Paula, was probably having bad day and was very rude. 1st see assumed I was doordash pick up and when I went in front of cashier she said you have to give me a minute. There was a gentleman ahead of me waiting for past 15 minutes for his order. After waiting When I complained after waiting for 10 minutes that it is not normal for us to wait that long for an order that was place more than 35 minutes before. She started saying it is not our fault the order didn't came to system. Finally, after she realized that my order was MyPanera and she apologized and said would give credit if I wait for cashier. I simply got my order and walked away. The point is, I understand we are human and we may have bad days, but making customers feel that is our fault when we are the reason for the existence of the business is something totally wrong. The manager was working hard, but Panera definitely need to invest in staff to train and help create an environment which make customer feel valued as Startbucks does. Unfortunately, today I made the regrettable decision to have lunch at a particular place. My family and I are big fans of Panera's onion soup and craft sandwiches, so we thought we'd give this location a try. However, from the moment we arrived, something felt off. To keep it brief, there were homeless individuals both outside and inside the restaurant. The place was filthy, with people even sleeping on the tables. The self-ordering tablets were greasy and in a disgusting condition. Consequently, we decided to order at the cashier instead. Unfortunately, a Woodstock goer took our order and got it wrong three times. The food was poorly served and simply not delicious.

To make matters worse, an elderly-looking man, who appeared to be homeless, started yelling inside the restaurant, proclaiming that Russia was destroying the US!! His aggression escalated, and two female employees desperately tried to calm him down, indicating that he was a regular there. It was disheartening to witness numerous individuals in similar conditions wandering around with their entire lives carried in shopping carts. Upon leaving, the same older man, who had been yelling in the restaurant, began swearing at everyone at the nearby bus station and even yelled at people inside a car. This experience reminded me of the current state of San Francisco, CA, and it is truly saddening to see what this particular place...

People working here are incompetent mental deficients. The manager, Julia is a nasty woman with an attitude problem. Chris the other manager has zero personality . He can barely speak English and he is rude to customers

Food is always served cold or not the right temperature. Food never tastes fresh at this store in Hallandale. Also, there is a huge homeless population at this location. They sit for hours and the store NEVER DISINFECTS THE CHAIRS or tables. The management at this location is HORRIFIC. It’s a filthy store They never order enough food and things are constantly running out early in the middle of the day ! Management is obviously not doing their job

Everyone working at the Hallandale store seems miserable. Stay away from this location. It really sucks big time. Also, there’s a huge fly infestation. Check out the dessert case.
