DiSorbo’s Bakery is hands-down one of the best bakeries I’ve ever been to, and it was absolutely worth the drive. We passed by plenty of other bakeries just to come here, and I’m so glad we did because nothing else compares. The quality, freshness, and flavor here set the standard high, and every bite reminded me why this place has such a loyal following.
The cannoli were the star for me, crisp, perfectly golden shells filled with a rich, creamy filling that was smooth and not overly sweet. It’s the kind of cannoli you dream about, the perfect balance of texture and flavor. I also tried the Buccino tti Chocolate and the ½ and ½ Eclair, which were incredible. The Buccino tti was deeply rich with a chocolate flavor that lingers, while the Eclair was light yet indulgent, with a filling that paired perfectly with the pastry. Each item tasted like it was crafted with genuine care and skill.
The consistency stood out most; every pastry was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made. This isn’t just another bakery; it’s a place that puts real pride into every dessert they make. DiSorbo’s isn’t just worth visiting; it’s worth going out of your way for. This is an absolute must-stop bakery if you’re in the area (or even if...
Read moreI was not impressed. Went on Christmas Eve and it was packed, the line swirled around in a circle 2x. Better than out the door I guess. I was happy to see I went to the right place, but at the wrong time! I had a small order of cookies 1/2 pound, 4 to 6 pastries, and a stuffed bread. This was for the kids aged 4 and under. They put crap choices in the box (5-6 cookies was equal to 1/2 a pound? and dried out pasties the 1 cannoli was soft) and the stuffed bread was a tiny thin "pencil bread", no wider than an inch, barely stuffed, got only a handful of slices out of it and charged me $40+. Waaay too much $$$ per item I expected fresh exceptional authentic Italian dessert for the money. The old lady kept screaming, "alright c'mon let's go, get this line moving, in and out here!" We ALL have somewhere to be and be happy your business is making money before the holidays. The customers were terrific! We all jokes around and goofed off waiting together. I'll most likely won't order from there again. For the price they charge, I'd rather go to New Haven Italian bakeries and get quality...
Read moreI have ordered from this place a few times on hand. I always go for their stuffed breads. Well this past week (Wednesday to be exact). I ordered spinach stuffed bread and unfortunately I could not enjoy it because it was cold and way too much oil and the bread was OVER FILLED with spinach so much that my bread became soggy and wet. I had to toss it in the trash. Today I went to pick up some Angetti cookies. I asked them in advance can they go light on the icing and again I was disappointed because they put way too much icing on top. I also mentioned to them about my previous order of the stuff spinach bread. Their response was unbelievably unprofessional instead of a sorry, I got this, "Yea well we use a lot of oil". As if what I said was irrelevant or not an issue. As a customer I felt disrespected and disregarded. Moving forward this establishment will not be receiving any more of my business. Respect and customer satisfaction should be any business top priority. Where is the accountability for mistakes? Where is the empathy? Where is the customer's...
