Joey’s Pizza is seriously one of the more delightful finds in the neighborhood. From the moment you step inside, it feels inviting — clean floors, tidy tables, and a bright counter area that makes you confident they take pride in their space. The restrooms and common areas are kept in great shape too, which always boosts my appetite rather than dampening it.

Now, let’s talk about their calzone — wow. It’s absolutely amazing. It arrives piping hot, with a golden-brown crust that’s crisp on the edges yet soft inside. The filling is generous and perfectly balanced: gooey cheese, savory meats (if you choose), fresh herbs, and a sauce that gives just the right tang. It isn’t overstuffed to the point of collapse, but it never leaves you wanting more.

I just moved to this area of Hamilton on November 20th and ordered from Joey’s once before without issue. Looking for a pizza place in the area. On December 4th, I placed an order for delivery, at 5:52 for a calzone with extra tomato sauce, and it confirmed delivery at 6:35. At 6:50 I called Joey’s for the status of my order, and they told me it would be about 10 minutes for the order to cook and then it would be delivered as soon as possible, they were very busy. Orders were taking up 2 hours. I called Joey’s back at 7:50 to see the status of my order, not on its way, so I cancelled the order. I was told I would not be charged for the order and I would see a credit. Around 8:30 a delivery man showed up with my cold calzone, I told him I cancelled the order and contacted Joey’s and was told to keep the calzone even though I cancelled the order and I was assured I would not be charged. I called back on December 7th and told them I still have not received a credit and they told me to wait a couple of more days. Still no credit. Only giving one star...

Ordered from website off the specials menu quoted to the man who answered the phone I wanted the Tues special $19.99 for large pie, wings and soda. He said no the soda is not part of the special but for $19.99 I figured pizza and wings will try them. Went to pick up snd first the checkout girl said $27. And then I said no I got the special she said oh that $24.95 we changed our prices I showed her THEIR website showing the price she said oh we have been hacked. I told her I went over with the man answering the phone and she said oh he was wrong it’s $24.95. I asked to speak to manager she said she was it was $24.95 I told her keep her food and went elsewhere. Maybe you should update your website if it got hacked and you knew it either fix it take it down. Don’t advertise one thing and bait and switch at pickup.
