Ok, so I really don't do reviews, but since this was my birthday dinner, note to all, I let my 8 & 11yr old pick the place, I haven't been to Red Lobster in at least a year so I am just putting that out there, this was my experience....we get there and there seem to be plenty of of empty tables, but took a long while to be seated, we ordered the endless shrimp, which is what I think is quite a bit of food, so I order only for my boys at $25 per kid and say to the server, I will just pick off of their plates, she immediately told me you cannot do that, you would have to order your own plate....ok, I tell her that I will just order a large size Blue Moon, in my head I am like I am still picking of their plates, so I am going to have some expensive beers (which they were) and eat what my kids are not eating b/c it's my birthday and I am paying, it then takes forever to get the beer and the kid's drinks (mommy is getting annoyed) then takes forever to get the cheddar biscuits, then we finally get the food...which is an insane amount of food....too much, but god forbid I pick off of my kid's plates? HUH....? another long while later the server comes back and asks if we are ready for the next round, I was like sure and proceed to order 3 as we started with and she was like no, no, you only get 2 on the second round....ok, got ya, no problem already way too much food but of course I was thinking we will get this and box it up and have plenty of left overs.....NOT so fast, I asked for a box and our server was like we normally don't do that (as in let you box the food up), ok I am sorry so we are just supposed to let you throw out all this left over food? ..I didn't say that to her, I was not rude to her and I left her a 20% tip because unless something horrible is done I won't screw anyone out of a tip, BUT I am floored, she is obviously following a directive from management, although I didn't hear the awesome server behind us say anything like that to his customers, although I will say I have no idea what they ordered, our server did come quickly when she saw me whip out my card to pay, we were quiet and not messy, we said thank you for everything....I just don't understand if we did something wrong besides asking for boxes? I am attaching a picture of the food that would have been thrown out if we didn't box it up and take it.....again I haven't been here in awhile and don't know the protocol but typical restaurant protocol has me thinking this wasn't the best experience.....and I am wondering why the server was treating me like she was my mother,...
Read moreI have been to this restaurant three times now. The first time was excellent, we had an extremely attentive waitress who was friendly, chatted with us about the area as we were only there on business, and even gave us a bag of biscuits and drinks to take back to the hotel. It was near the time of closing, and we were hurrying to get out of there, and she told us not to rush. The foot was great, it was the all you can eat shrimp, I don't remember the exact details, but every plate was consistent and delicious. The second time the food was also great, our waitress was not as friendly, but nothing was missed. Drinks were always filled, she remembered to bring us extra napkins, and had a smile. The third time, the food was still decent, but I do not recommend the shrimp and scallop Alfredo, there was barely any alfredo sauce on it, it completely masked what little flavor there was from the seafood, and the shrimps are those cheap tiny salad shrimps that just don't add a lot. However, the ultimate meal thing was really good, with the shrimp, lobster, and crab legs. However, this third time, our server left a lot to be desired. He consistently forgot to bring us stuff, starting off with our silverware. We had to ask for that twice; meanwhile, salads are sitting on the table uneaten. We had to ask for extra napkins, my dad went 15 minutes with an empty glass of water, his only drink, and we had to ask twice for that, as well. He didn't seem to care very much and was a little snide, never once apologizing for the slow service. Therefore, I will say that the food is consistent, but you have to watch what server you get at this Red Lobster. I would still highly...
Read moreI took a couple of friends here for lunch. We were hungry and had about 1 hr and a half between our appointments and it was nearby. When we walked in we were greeted very quickly and very pleasantly but from the time we sat down our experience declined steadily. We ordered our food within the first 10 minutes. We were brought biscuits without saucers, our flatware was spotty and there was something floating in my friends soda. About 45 minutes after we ordered our food I went and asked the Manger (the man who greeted us) what was taking so long (as our waitress made herself very scarce). Our food finally came about 10 minutes after our inquiry. My order and my friends were combined she had half of my food and vice versa. When I informed the waitress the waitress helping her abruptly said worth an attitude "we might as well take it all back and bring new food" I declined in fear that my food would be tampered with (because of her reaction). My lobster was over cooked and my side dishes were cold!! The overall experience SUCKED!!!! I once again went and found the manager who was wonderful and gave us 20% off of our food and we each received a $25 gift card for our inconvenience. He asked us to give them another chance. Which I did about two weeks later..... the service was much better but my lobster was still overcooked. Bartonsville Red Lobster is unable to cook it's signature...
