Cate Street Pub — Restaurant in Hammond

Definitely one of the last places on our list of places to go hang out for a night out but occasionally we'll go here because it's close. The crowd is extremely young most of the time, seems like they let a lot of underaged people in. I've seen people I've known personally that weren't even 18 yet hanging out in there. Last visit was pretty disappointing because there was a guy and 2 girls sitting at the bar(seemed obviously close friends with a bartender) and they would constantly leave and disappear from the bar, my friend would go to order a drink when no one was up there and one of the girls would come back and throw a major tantrum because they were sitting there earlier. Whatever, typical childish attitudes that you kind of expect coming out to places like this, we just got our drinks and went back to our table. But then we noticed the same thing happen to multiple people. These girls didn't even look old enough to legally drink but by the end of the night they both couldn't walk straight and were falling all over the place, throwing their shoes across the room trying to get them back on, because they were so drunk and had to be walked...

Mr. Mule's Kitchen on FriYay

The temp has had my body craving gumbo, and Mr. Mule's had it as the special today.

The place is small, but clean. The waitstaff is very polite.

Now, the gumbo was bringing what it needed to bring: full of sausage and chicken, rice not overcooked, and a nice colored roux with a bold, developed flavor. The potato salad was okay. FYI: they don't have crackers for the gumbo- nearly broke my heart. Yet again, that gumbo flavor made up for it.

I didn't try the fried fish and shrimp, but it looked like a winner when it passed by.

3 adults, one child. Ordered one entree for one adult & one for child. Other two adults ordered sushi. Child’s mozzarella sticks and adult entree were served, food was eaten, the sushi still not served one hour after order. Meanwhile, people at next booth were FaceTiming on speaker, one call after another at top volume. When we complained, we moved to a different booth, one sushi finally came- not what was ordered. 2 other sushi orders came, one of those was wrong and bones were in it. No follow up by wait staff during that hour until we complained....
