Yesterday, I ordered their chicken quesadillas and I specifically told the server no bacon. The chicken quesadillas came out with bacon on it. I showed the server my plate and said I requested no bacon and this has bacon. She looked at it and was super understanding and apologized and said she will make another one. I told her I actually donât want it and just to take it back. I didn't want them to just remove the bacon and resend it to me. She said no problem she will refund the money back. Five minutes later the manager comes with the same exact plate and rudely says, âwhat is wrong with this?â I looked at her and said there is bacon in it. I donât eat bacon. She is like there is no bacon. To my surprise đŽ I looked again and there was no bacon pieces. I am 99.9% sure there was bacon on my food. I looked at her and said. You know it had bacon. She seemed like she was going to fight me. So I politely said. Look I donât want it. Youâre welcome to charge me for it. I really donât care but I am not going to eat it. When I told her she can charge me she seemed to calm down a bit and said she will pack it for me anyway. I was not going to argue nor fight with anyone in front of my three toddlers who absolutely love eating at aroogaâs and itâs one of their favorite restaurants. My bill was over $90.00 and $13.00 chicken quesadillas was not a really big deal. The server came out with the bill (which included the quesadillas and apologized to me about her managers behavior. I told her not a big deal. I left the server a $20.00 tip as I didnât think it was her fault. Why punish the server for her managers actions? I am absolutely appalled by the managers behavior and bringing me the same food and taking the bacon off of it. Then trying to make me feel stupid or look bad? I am seriously considering never going there again. I normally go to the restaurant with my babies at lunch time. So I have never had to deal with the dinner shift crew before. Nor had I dealt with this particular manager before....
Read moreThe worse experience I've ever had at an Arooga's. I'm going to state this before I note my experience. They did have a full house literally due to the fight. Maybe that played a part in our horrible experience, but I highly doubt that. We waited about 10-15 mins at the table before the host came to see if a waitress came to our table. Which isn't bad for a full house. Once discovering no one came to our table. She then sent a waitress to our table. After ordering we waited over an hour for our food. We watching everyone else receive food even a family who came an hour after we'd been there. They received their food within mins. Waitresses constantly checked on surrounding tables. Meanwhile, the whole hour noone checked in with us. No food food came out. No one asked if we need refills nothing. They just walked past us as if we weren't sitting right behind their waitress stand. Everyone else seem to had waitresses constantly checking on them. I stopped the waitresses & ask about our food. She said in 10 mins. our food would be out. The host came to check on us may 2 mins after the waitress walked off. She returned telling us about 30 mins., they were working on our order. she apologize for the wait. Notified us we'd be getting a discount for the wait. Once receiving our food the quesadilla had no cheese. The đ was OVER cooked, dried out & burnt. Fries were cold. The boneless chicken was so hard. It literally sound like a large rock hit the plate when dropped on the plate. I walked the food over to the hlhost and showed her, because well the waitress(es) ignored us, as well as , the empty ketchup bottle given us. The manger brought the food to us asking if we needed to go containers while clearing off the table. Then the waitress asked if we wanted our bills mind you we just received our food. The Manger gave us 20$ off one bill and 20% the 2nd bill. Kudos to the African American host though who checked on us & our food. They only seem to notices us when she said...
Read moreI have Experienced a lot of restaurants on the Carlisle Pike (Route 11) in Mechanicsburg including Aroogas. But after the Take out service I received on super bowl Sunday, February 2, 20014 I Decided to voice my Opinion in words to the Public and to Aroogas should they decide to read their reviews. I called in my order at 5:30P.M. for Crab Dip with Soft Pretzel Bites, and 50 Wings 25 Naked (No Sauce)and 25 Hot with Celery and Blue Cheese. I was then told my order would be ready at 6:30P.M. When I arrived my Order was waiting for me, So I Proceeded to the Cashier Station they had set up for call ahead orders. Well it seems some guy was having a problem with his order they had misplaced, so I asked if I could be cashed out at another station so my food wouldn't get cold waiting. at first I was told by an employee that I had to wait (Not Cool Aroogas) then the manager step in to assist me.( Thanks Steve) So I Finally was given my order and left but when I got home to my surprise the food was totally cold,I had no celery or Blue Cheese and the Soft Pretzel bites were Burnt(Not Cool Aroogas) and to top it off I was charged a Pick up fee for choosing Aroogas to get my Wings from which I had traveled all the way from Carlisle.(Really Aroogas come on again Not Cool) The Manager did take off 10% of the Bill after explaining my being upset about the whole Ordeal :( Needless to say I will probably be finding another sports grill in the future.) Sorry Aroogas Customer wins this round on Super...
