Acropolis Pizza — Restaurant in Hampstead

I AM SHOCKED AT WHAT JUST HAPPENED AT THIS PLACE!! Please read: You’d think that the pictures would pretty much say all that needs to be said but let me explain a little more about this family run restaurant. After phoning in an order for a large cheese pizza and a couple cheeseburger plates made with ketchup, mustard, mayo and pickles, my fiancé and I go pick it up. We get home open the pizza box to feed the kids and this is what it looks like! Very overcooked! I grab a burger and check it out and as seen in the pictures it’s not made the way it was ordered. We call and tell the girl about the issue and she has nothing to say, she hands the phone off to a guy (owner/dad I believe) repeat the issue and he has an attitude. My fiancé says I’ll bring this one back I’d just like a new pizza that is cooked right, the owner says will the oven is set at the same temperature (in other words the next pizza will look the same) . This is not a food review, but a review about the type of family business this is. Years ago I had a roommate who had called and ordered a pizza from here. While she was on her way to pick it up, a deer bolted out of the woods and directly into her vehicle, nearly totalling it. She had called to let them know what had happened and that she wouldn't be able to pick her order up, and rather than becoming annoyed (ridiculous, I know, but happens way too often nowadays anyway) they expressed only genuine compassion and concern for her safety. Months later while picking up takeout, they not only had remembered her and the ordeal she had, but again expressed genuine concern and told her they were very happy to know that she hadn't been injured in the mishap. Call and ask for their real prices. Unfortunately their prices for the subs that I ordered are about $2 more each than advertised on their website. I called politely wondering why my order was so much more than it should've been and the lady did not care and made excuses. She said that they don't have time to update and that the website says their prices may vary. That is an overstatement. It comes to a point where the company is abusing customers. Maybe if it were $0.50 but $2.00 more each is just abusing customers. It makes me feel like they are doing it on purpose. They haven't updated prices in a long time. I have felt like I was paying more and never checked. I never thought to get a reciept and actually look and do the math untill today.
