my husband and i decided tried this place last night, as the reviews looked good. Apon entering at about 7:45 or so,No one was at hostess station,we waited about 5min, still noone showed. then i went into bar area there was one couple at the bar and no bartender. I then poked my head in the kitchen and the cook said they were running food & would be right out. Went back to dining room finally found a waitress around the corner. We told her it was our first time. She welcomed us was pleasant enough. Seated us gave us menus & specials menu. She told us weds was 1/2 off entrees. I told my husband in front of her while she was pretty close to us several times the entrees were half off as i looked at the specials menu. Never corrected me. Then i asked her how was the crab cakes she said they were the best all meat not alot of fill. We ordered the soft shell crab appetizer she never explained how it came. It was a whole small crab deep fried on the plate. My husband and i were starving he thought it looked gross.i ate it seemed ok on the legs crispy but the whole belly was soggy underneath. For 9.99 def not worth it at all. Husband had side salad with his meal, which the ends of lettuce in his salad the part your supposed to throw away. And the tomatoes were hard only give you 2 small slices.like a sub shop nothing special at all. We had ordered rolls, which were not soft and warm,doughy and fresh at all, but dry,crumbly,warm on outside and cold on inside def stale tasting. He ordered the scallop shrimp parmesan w/roasted potatoes as his other side. I ordered the prime rib and crab cake special w/ the vegetable medley blend & roasted potatoes. When the food came out my husband got very small portion of shrimp amd scallops that were fried in loads of oil seasoning with mushrooms and peppers all which were hard. The potatoes were just cut up no color and exetremly hard and undercooked. They were def not roasted whatsoever. My prime rib was such a tiny thin piece. It was cooked medium rare and it did taste good put prime rib should be a nice thick cut im sorry not tiny thin. My vegetable were also hard. And my potatoes were the same. Horrible not roasted whatesover. Also my crab cakes werent even crab cakes just a bunch of crab slop on my plate.The waitress asked how it was, i then told her the potatoes were really hard. we dont like to complain & we wanted peace so i didnt even bother mentioning the vegetables or the crab cakes. Again we were starving so i just ate unhappy as i was. She said would you like me to have the cook put the potatoes back in? She literally had us scrape the potatoes on a small plate, brought them out back how horrible. Not just take them and replace them. Which also took forever. And my husband didnt get them till after he already finshed his meal and they were burnt on top and still hard .He did not eat them and left them. I just asked for a baked potato which was nothing to write home about. Very plain came with butter, sour cream, bland no taste to it.we asked for our check, nothing was even done because of the screw up which we never ask for but a reputable good place always offers that for a screw up that bad on food. Besides that my husbands meal was 10.00 when it was 18.99 which im sry is not half off. Which she said thats just how they do it. my meal was 12.99. I mentioned to our waitress that i thought the bill might be wrong and she says i already told you that the specials menu is already half price i say it every time.i told her that she def did not tell me because i would of just gotten something off the regular menu if that was the case.And im not a lier.She kept pushing it super adament saying she def told me. I did not want to agrue so i just let it go. They really need my 6 bucks that bad keep it. She also made it super uncomfortable by just taking off to the kitchen where we heard her complaining to the cook. We never get to go out and work hard for our money. Read moreIt seems most of the negative reviews here are from a year or more ago. Well some things never change, unfortunately. This had to have been one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. We had been driving 5 hours and were starved when we pulled off the freeway to eat. We had never been in this area but after finding a few of our picks off Google to be closed, we saw this place on Maps and called to confirm they were open. Whoever answered said "yes please stop by we'll be happy to serve you!" We were there within 5 minutes and when we walked in were looked at like "why are these people here?" Um, we just called? Ok so we were sat. Waitress seemed friendly enough, but it became obvious quickly she was clueless. We explained we were famished and asked what was the fastest to get started with. She said probably the clam chowder...we'll take it! Then, at the waitress's suggestion we ordered our salmon-blt sandwich to split. As we sat, sipping our waters, several other pairs and small groups came in and sat. We watched as they received their food that they had ordered 10, 15, 20 minutes after us! Wings, salads, you name it. Still no soup for us, nothing. At this point I was shaking, from low blood sugar as well as anger. After the third table getting their apps/food I became vocal and pretty much everyone in the place knew we weren't happy...well except the wait staff. Clueless. Finally 30min after sitting we put our masks on and were standing up to leave when the waitress came over and said "hi, did you want your soup before your meal?" You're joking right? YES, THAT'S WHAT WE'D LIKE. The soup came, and sure enough the food came 1min later. I love when apps and food come at the same time, ugh. We literally inhaled everything even though it wasn't anything special AT ALL; dry...etc...we were just dying. No refills on drinks, no apologies, nadda. Then the cook (I'm assuming), came out to check on us and made some wise crack about all the food being gone already and wow we must've been hungry. ALREADY? We've been here 40+ minutes. I paid as quickly as I could just to get out of there. When we got to the car, something else clicked. Our sandwich did not have any bacon! Seriously, a BLT and you forget the bacon?! Again, blinded by hunger. I seldom leave reviews in this vain, particularly this length. But this was all around just awful and I could never recommend this...
Read moreExcellent chefs. An experience wait staff need training.you see how they had a drink spilled on us and our food was not handled correctly food was not replaced. No one offered to take care of the cleaning bill.acted like it did not happen. Should have reported this to the manager by the wait staff and handled in a more professional manner.. I have returned multiple times because of the food best pizza in town. Training on how to deal with such an incident is important if you want to continue. Wait staff argued with me on what was available although I have been there multiple times and let them know that I had been there multiple times still told me no no no that is the wrong answer in a restaurant food service situation. And this was done more than one time by different waitstaff. Must educate your wait staff and the one word people do not want to hear is no no no. I have figured out how to get what I want by ordering it a different way even after doing this it was difficult but I agree turn for the food the pizza is...
