Lived in Michigan my entire life up until 3 years ago, even lived in Hamtramck, and I had never been to Small's. Always wanted to check it out just never came to pass. Back for a visit and a friend said she was going and that it would be a place I'd be into. I believe I said Duh. Kicking myself for not going sooner. It is my vibe. Love all the interesting people there feeling comfortable and doing their thing. Only been twice now. Both were on Saturday night. Love the alternative punk rock music the dj was playing the one night and then the other was a Depeche Mode tribute night which was busier but didn't have as much fun. It was hot and unfortunately being outside didn't give much relief. But I like how it's set up in different sections. When you walk in there's the bar and then you walk through to a sitting/standing area then onto the dance floor area where the stage and dj are located (my favorite area). On the side of the stage there's an exit to a fenced in seating smoking area. It's a fun time. There is a cover though. I think $5 for the most part. Also great, the food truck parked next to the gas station across the street. Bonus.

It was our first time here, and we were not disappointed. The whole aesthetic was great, and all the posters, wall hangings, and art were awesome. It shows they've put on a lot of shows as they have a whole system down so we could get in quickly. The staff was very friendly and made great jack & cokes. I was also very pleased we had inadvertently discovered another pro-woman, pro-LGTBQ+ business. We had an excellent time, and we will be back

Always love this place!! Great shows, great people, good stage for music and bar separate as well as a great corner for merch from the artists playing which you don’t often see in a lot of venues!!! Timmy and Natalie as bartenders are always top tier attentive and I fkin love Timmy’s tiara always gets a giggle from me. Hope this place is open forever

Everything you'd expect from a dive bar.

They have a performance venue in the back with little or no seating, but there is a lot of seating up front. Very, very dark as well. I kept tripping over a step they had to get to booths that were elevated.

Full bar, good prices, a great place to see a band.

The ladies restroom has 2 stalls, and they're crammed in there so tight that they had to put saloon swinging doors on the stalls. Very awkward to use.

Parking is awful. Street only, and good luck if you find...
