Becky's Old Fashioned Ice Crm — Restaurant in Hannibal

I made the mistake of going here after visiting the Mark Twain museum on 11/29/2023 in the afternoon. At first glance I thought this place was going to be pretty good. The shop is pretty quirky (in a good way) but, I found out I was unwelcome really quickly. I saw that Becky's Old Fashioned Ice Cream had a sundae on their menu which sounded good so I ordered that. The woman told me they were out of hot fudge for the season (here's an idea: take it off your menu if don't have it anymore). So I just got two scoops of store brand ice cream. This is not old fashioned ice cream at all. Becky's is not making it by hand and there is nothing special about in the slightest. Anyways, if it was just the ice cream I wouldn't be leaving this review. As the woman gave me the ice cream and I sat down at the in store table she did not say anything to me at all and just glared at me which made me very uncomfortable. I was the only person in the store and I could tell she didn't want me there. I honestly, felt discriminated against because of my large physical size and being a man. If you're in Hannibal, MO I would suggest going to another business in town to get dessert and spare yourself of Becky's Old...

This is not "Old Fashioned Ice Cream". It's a glorified gift shop with Blue Bunny Ice Cream in a couple of flavors. When my family walked in, we waited what seemed like too long before we saw an old man come out from back. I greeted him and he didn't respond, let alone look at me. I was standing at the ice cream cooler, and he just walked behind the cooler then stared at me, waiting for my order. SO rude. I have no idea how this place is still...

Very friendly staff and a fun stop. Has more than just ice cream. There are souvenirs and funny bumper stickers and tin signs and books and toys, etc. The ice cream was great! We ended up getting chocolate chip cookie dough, huckleberry, strawberry cheesecake, and a chocolate malt (we went multiple times). Every one of them was good! Prices are a little high...I wouldn't go here all the time if I lived close...but for vacation...
