Plave has a very cool feel & tons of potential & that's where the positive side of this establishment ends. This place is lacking A LOT! Food was just not good & on the edge of inedible. For starters they were out of wings which is understandable but it is a pretty small menu so... Chili-Cheese fries were gross & looked like the chili was from a can? The "cheese" on the french fries was cheez-wiz! Ordered mozzarella sticks as an appetizer & they were very overcooked. Staff were all doing shots behind the bar while on the clock & by the way they acted it didn't seem as though it was their first "shot of the day". Place definitely had a serious lack of management. Bartender was using a COASTER as a strainer to pour shots! SERIOUSLY, I couldn't believe my eyes! Zero presentation of food on plates. Burgers were very average at best & came with no sides (available for an up charge) on a plate with 3 slivers of onion & a piece of iceberg lettuce. I would not recommend the place until its under new ownership. If I could take stars away I would. This place is a mess.

Their pork tenderloin sandwich is nearly the size of the hubcap on my son's car. This manhole cover on a bun was absolutely delicious. Breaded in saltine crackers so you may not be able to accumulate all of that saltiness on your palette in one sitting. But it sure will drive you to drinking. The ethically sourced farm raised catfish bites were excellent. I know they were ethically sourced because they weren't muddy tasting river catfish. Renewable farm raised fish is generally always tastier. The bar is charming. The locals were warm and friendly. Great local tourist trap. Worth the hour-two hour drive from the St. Louis/St. Charles area. The wife and I will be returning. And I am fasting next time. I WILL tackle that sandwich in one sitting.

We had an absolutely stellar time hanging out here. We even skipped our tour to hang out a bit longer. You'll love the menu, cold beer, a good cocktail, and I really enjoyed interacting with the staff. The owner, Natasha, was a pleasure. You can tell she is very involved in the community. Please, stop by and enjoy a bite with a beer... You will have great time.

I am a member of a BPT group (breaded pork tenderloin )had to check out. Rumor has it imust say probably one of the best I’ve had in a long time my compliments to the chef who wasn’t the head chef and she apologized for the thickness which I liked! Over 300 likes and compliments in my group just because of a picture! Lol Kudos! Great job Rumor Has It !

This place is cool! We came at 1 pm on a Wednesday so its hard to say what the bar atmosphere is. The burgers were really good. Onion rings are the thick cut style. There are some taxidermy things on the walls. It was a nice lunch. Oh and they do take debit and credit cards. I saw a previous review that said they don't but thats how I paid 👍

Fine for a beer at the end of a day of driving and then exploring Hannibal, the bar had a bunch of locals having a lively discussion as I set up on a big table that had a power outlet nearby. Beer was cold, the wifi worked well and it was a nice spot before heading towards my parking spot for the night.
