Rumor Has It... Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Hannibal

If a pretty waitress showcasing an ample busom is your thing, this is your spot. If an impeccable tavern menu is your thing, well, this one needs some tuning. We (3) sauntered in at 630 pm on a Tuesday. Kitchen staff was sitting out on the sidewalk at bistro tables hanging out and making a concerted group effort to punish their lungs with tar while feeding their nicotine addictions. We sat down and the aforementioned waitress greeted us with menus and headed off to get us beer. As she left the kitchen crew came back in... the three of us ordered a special from the menu: the Hawaiian burger; mistake x 3! Best part of meal was fries and beer! Burger arrived hot in a sea of very good fries. Unfortunately a Hawaiian burger featured pineapple and ham loaded into a bun struggling to live out what little remained of its useful life. Any taste of beef there might have been was lost in the sandpaper texture of a bun that had clearly seen better days combined with the way too much sweetness of a thick canned pineapple slab that simply overpowered what little burger there was. The ham was tough textured at the edges and did no one any favors. A table mate stripped all the junk out and just ate his burger which I regretted not doing myself. The beers were cold and the ac was on on a 97 degree day, so we hung for an hour and headed for the road full and cool but not...

July- 2023! Husband and I spent 3 days just taking in all the great shops and a river dinner cruise. Stayed at the “hotel on main” perfect spot if you’re a cool “baby boomer!” Last day there we stopped in for a draft beer at RHI” mind you, it was mid day and hot as hell so we cooled down inside and had our Bartender do this magical trick , sticking money bills to the ceiling, GENIUS! The bucks $ are donated 👍. We decided to sit out at the umbrella tables and have a few more drinks, during which we met the cook and manager. Very decent guys! Funny as hell too! 😂 Not to mention they keep an eye on all situations. Which made me feel at ease. We people watched and sat through a lovely rain shower ( Umbrella table). Perfect! Wind picked up and back inside we ordered our dinner. Husband had a Ruben and loved it! I chowed on the. Rubbed chicken wings, an entire pound!! So good! Zero sauce needed! We hung out a while and we’re introduced to the owner. He’s the one with this awsome chicken wing rub!! I recommend 120%. Go have fun at RUMOR HAS IT 🍻...

Plave has a very cool feel & tons of potential & that's where the positive side of this establishment ends. This place is lacking A LOT! Food was just not good & on the edge of inedible. For starters they were out of wings which is understandable but it is a pretty small menu so... Chili-Cheese fries were gross & looked like the chili was from a can? The "cheese" on the french fries was cheez-wiz! Ordered mozzarella sticks as an appetizer & they were very overcooked. Staff were all doing shots behind the bar while on the clock & by the way they acted it didn't seem as though it was their first "shot of the day". Place definitely had a serious lack of management. Bartender was using a COASTER as a strainer to pour shots! SERIOUSLY, I couldn't believe my eyes! Zero presentation of food on plates. Burgers were very average at best & came with no sides (available for an up charge) on a plate with 3 slivers of onion & a piece of iceberg lettuce.
