It's hard to rate a one time visited place, we try to give it a few times before me make a set opinion. However we were visiting from out of state here so this is our view from a one time visit. The experience this evening wasn't the greatest. The wait staff had pleasant attitudes and were very attentive which made the atmosphere favorable. The part issue we had with our visit was with the kitchen. We waited 40mins for two small quick appetizers (Moz. Sticks & fried ravioli) both fried items which even at your private residence would take only a few minutes 10 at most.We aren't expecting the food within a min or two but 40 minutes is far longer then most people would expect to wait. The place was not packed or busting with business at the hour we walked in (7:15pm) so it was what you would expect to be a fairly smooth experience. Once we got our food (about 20 minutes after the appetizers) our French fries were literally barely warm I ordered a philly cheese steak sandwich, he ordered a burger along with my father in law and my mother in law ordered the catfish. The guys said their burgers were not flavorful and kind of a bummer. My philly had good flavor however was dry on a cold dry bun which made the meal turn for me. My mother in law enjoyed the catfish and said it was perfect in flavor, tender and just the right amount of crisp to the breading. All in all there are a few things that could be changed from our one time visit perspective to make the place great and enhance the chances of a return visit, but it was not a terrible place bu any means. Who knows we could've hit them on a off night. Everyone has those especially during...
Read moreThe waitress took our order and when we got it the food wasn’t all what we ordered. We ordered kids meals for our children and only gave us one child’s meal. The other meals were classic adult meals. They didn’t bring us my wife’s order and they said we never gave us an order for her. Finally after accusing us of not ordering for her they brought her meal. They gave us a kids meal for my wife, and the burger was burnt, and charged us for an adult meal. They also charged us adult prices for one of the kids meal. They said it wasn’t a kids meal. I told them we ordered kids meals. They said did your kid eat that meal? I said yes and the waitress said then you are paying for it. I told them that is not what we ordered. We had no idea the meal my son ate was an adult meal because the burger is not much bigger than the adult meal. I tip them and said I will be fair to you even though you weren’t fair to us. Then I went and talked to someone in authority and talk to I believe was the head waitress. They did fix it and gave us some of our money back and an extra soda for my 14 year old daughter because we ordered bottomless drinks and they never gave her more then one drink and never refilled our water. The waitress that was rude to us was training a waitress at the time and was experienced but with my opinion I would fire that waitress. I will not go back and I am a public speaker and will let everyone know not to patron...
Read moreTerrible and racist discriminatory mindset from the segregation/Jim Crow era. We arrived around 2PM on Thursday, and the place was empty. A middle-aged waitress escorted us to a table in the rear corner of the overflow side room near the restrooms instead of granting our request for a table by the front windows. When I repeated my request for window table she huffed and complied. It seemed like she didn't want others/passers-by to see her serving non-white customers. We placed our food order, and when it arrived, it was average. My child covered his food with a napkin to keep away flies and went to the restroom. Suddenly, the same waitress swooped in and collected his plate, ignoring the fact that we weren't finished. I informed her that we still needed more time, but she huffed and slammed the plate back on the table. Shortly after, she forcefully placed the bill on the table and stormed off. When I went to pay with my credit card, I left a tip that reflected her attitude. In response, she loudly berated me for the small tip. ... Well, here's a piece of advice for everyone: stay away from this place. Paying customers, regardless of their race, should be treated with respect. Incidentally the chips were overcooked...
