George's Oasis Restaurant — Restaurant in Hanover Township

My husband and I go here quite frequently. Tonight I ordered the chicken stuffed with broccoli and cheese. I asked to have it done light. Also ordered a baked potato. Normally our meal comes out before I finish my soup and salad. Not tonight. When our food finally came out, my food was barely warm. It took the waitress a while to come back and when she did I told her it wasn't very warm. She did ask me if I wanted another or something else and I said no. She took the food and never came back to our table till my husband was finished with his meal. When she went back to the kitchen she was talking so loud about my food that everyone heard it. I never said it was too cold!!! I said it was barely warm. And she said it over and over again. The cook asked her if I wanted something else and she just kept repeating over and over no, that my food was too cold. She never came back to ask my husband if everything was ok. Never came back to see if we needed refills on our drinks either. She was very cold with us after I returned my food. The other tables she waited on she was very bubbly with and with us she was very short. Hope she isnt looking for a big tip! She sure as hell wasn't worth the 2 bucks my husband gave her!! So, I guess I won't be going back there on a Wednesday when she's working. It's such a shame because when we have Taylor, we get excellent service and great food.

98122022 8:00 came in to get ice cream and had a banana split. It was a work of art. The two young people working behind the counter, we’re hard-working friendly and quick. It restores your faith in the younger generation. The young lady also waits on me at Starbucks. She defies the narrative about young people today. Two jobs? Her parents are a role model for parents globally.😂 These two will survive the demographics shift of the baby boomers, of which I am one, will all be retiring this year. Their world is going to be different. Management runs a tight ship.😂

I only had a steak sandwich. But whoever made it knows how to use a grill to melt cheese to perfection. Food was great prices even better service is like you're in your own families kitchen. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. Staff is remarkable!!! A great place for the whole family to enjoy miniature golf and ice cream for a treat.

Would recommend this place to anybody!!!

03242020 Just an update. I was in there yesterday, and I got another fantastic cheesesteak, with a large bowl, of beef orzo soup. Nothing like great soup on a cold rainy day. This coronavirus thing is going on right now, and it was nice to go in, and they just lift up your spirits.

Today while driving on Schonersville road in front of the restaurant I saw a man presumably in a cooks uniform chasing the geese into the roadway and I had to slam on my brakes. So I called the restaurant to complain and the woman who answered said it was her husband and they are the owners. I explained to her that chasing geese into a 4 lane highway in front of cars is not a good idea. Also due to the fact there was probably 20 baby geese that do not have the feathers to fly they cannot fly away so if I wouldn't have slammed on my brakes I would have hit and killed them. The owner's wife then tells me oh no it wasn't her husband's fault that they crossed the road all the time themselves. I told her your husband was running and flailing his arms chasing these birds all the way to the curb making making them go into the 4 lane highway. She just kept arguing with me and basically telling me they don't care...
