This review is based on several poor experiences at this particular Chipotle location. It generally takes a lot for me to leave a poor review online. (I recognize that sometimes things can go wrong despite people's best efforts.) I eat Chipotle's 2-3 x each month. Several weeks ago, I was in the restaurant (which is unusual these days as most of the time the restaurant is locked except for a pick up door). I was watching the workers make my food at the take out station. The worker had vinyl gloves on, reached into her pocket to take out her phone, scrolled the screen, put it back in her pocket and then resumed food prep without changing her gloves. YUCK! Everyone knows cell phones are petri dishes and furthermore it is in her back pocket while she is working. Food handlers shouldn't have there cell phones on them at all. Secondly, I generally order a burrito with chicken or steak, rice, beans, etc. I used to get burritos with an appropriate portion of protein to other ingredients. Lately it's a game of try and find the protein in your burrito. I don't know if the owner/managers have instructed the employees to skimp on the protein to cut costs or if the employees arent mindful of what they are preparing. Speaking of managers/ownership, I rarely see anyone over the age of 22 in the entire restaurant. I believe young adults can be very successful in fast-food IF they are trained well, have detailed and established systems to follow and proactive managers/leaders to create accountability, correct, teach and continuously train. If workers aren't given this support, customer service, quality and consistency will suffer. Lastly, don't bother ordering chips unless you enjoy a bag of soft, grease soaked chips. Better to buy chips ahead of time, since you can't eat in the restaurant anyway. I'm to the point that if I want Chipotle, in the future I will drive further for a...
Read moreI live in the neighborhood 😢... And my suggestion is any other Chipotle than this one. Mainly for the reason over the past year they're critically understaffed to perform the basic service of what they should provide. Case in point over the last year every time has only been a takeout order online allowed where minimal staffing is working under too much stress. The food is very unorganized put together too fast and always not up to any kind of quality you expect from another Chipotle establishment. Often the order is wrong portion size is very small and they forget big things like a whole meal out of a $30 order so like tonight I had to go all the way back to have a kids quesadilla meal replace which then I got question about for their mistake and only left with the quesadilla in question not the whole $8 meal. I really only blame the overseeing manager for this kind of situation if you can't properly provide the service that the community needs and your reputation is just getting worst. The customers are consistently going to be mad at your staff for the the quality and services you should be providing. It shouldn't be subpar and you should have put that kind of stress on your employees you shouldn't be open for business until you can adequately provide the correct services that required by your community. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels like this as I saw a customer livid after waiting an hour for his food tonight and pretty much yelled at employee they saying the same thing and then walked off without any kind of resolution except the help ticket from the online service there was a manager there but didn't really seem like one. Staff amount was (3) with up to 20 people waiting. Go to five guys they seem to have more employees or even Taco Bell up the road where they're paying $17.75 an hour to...
Read moreWe stopped here at the Happy Valley location this evening about an hour and a half before regular closing time. Closing time on the door said 10 pm, and we came in at about 8:30pm. We ordered our food to go because staff was putting the chairs on top of tables as if they didn't want customers using them. I ordered a chicken burrito with white rice, my wife picked up a chicken bowl with white rice and my daughter ordered a chicken bowl with brown rice. Normally I enjoy Chipotle's food but today I have to say I was very disappointed. They were out of several things and the staff treated us like we were an inconvenience to them. We didn't understand why they weren't making more food instead of just leaving the item trays empty. Also the place was a mess, the drink station looked like drinks had been spilled all over and no one was cleaning up. My wife initially wanted a salad but was told they were out of lettuce so she went with the chicken bowl instead. We took our food and opted to eat at home since it appeared they didn't want us to eat at the restaurant. Once home I found that my burrito had almost no chicken and the rice was hard and uncooked. My wife had the same experience with the rice in her bowl. My daughter said hers was ok but she had opted for the brown rice. I should have checked the reviews for this place before stopping here. Hopefully this saves someone else the headache. Do yourself a favor, go...
