What do you call a 1/32" thick beef patty? Freddie's burger. They are deceptionally good but they are not a hamburger in the Texas sense. Looks like a 6" burnt doily. Since no one below cited this thin patty, it leads me to believe that the comments are invented by employees. I was greeted by a very nice, professional young man from Brownsville, who went out of his way to attend me in my 1st time visit. He told me I could select and buger and they can make it a single instead if their standard doubles - everything on the menu is double meat Herein is the deception, not even the picture of the burger shows just how thin they are. "Steak" burger to me means thicker and juicier. Not so for Freddie's. It's a bold attempt to infringe on the burger market but I don't see them having an outstanding market share What stood out there is that young man, nothing else.
What do you call ultra thin spaghetti fried potatoes? Freddie's frys. Too stiff...
Read moreI know this place just opened and maybe they need time to get it together but overall, I was pretty unsatisfied with my order. There was one car ahead of me and the drive thru wait was about 15 minutes or so which wasn't bad really, I don't mind the wait, especially if it means my order will be fresh and hot but that wasn't the case. As soon as I drove away, I opened my bag and started eating my meal. The burger was cold, the fries were cold and my drink was warm--I ordered an unsweet tea. Anyways, i think the part that really irritated me was that there were no napkins in my bag. I know this doesn't sound like a big deal but when you eat on the go, it kind of is. I guess you get what you pay for but for 10 bucks I could have opt for a better meal. Oh well. Perhaps dining in is the better experience. Hopefully they get it...
Read moreSo far been here twice and have enjoyed my meal both times ive tried their signature steak burger and patty melt both were delicious. Oh and they have the chili cheese fries which are also quite good. Depending on how you order a meal for two will run you roughly 20 to 25 dollars. Sadly after i eat my whole meal im too stuffed to have their custard which is ashame because it looks really good overall i enjoyed it food was ready at a resonable time and it was really good oh fry salt and freddy sauce is pretty good kinda reminds me like thousand island dressing. Not to big a fan of the vinegar in the fries though i did put alot on a single fry my wife enjoyed it though. The trick is put a little bit every to give the fries a different taste.btw the vinegar is a condiment its not in their fries but...
