I went to chipotle tonight with my daughter and son. I was being helped by a young lady and asked for extra sour cream, corn and everything. She in return had the audacity to tell me in front of my young kids “I am not nice to men”. I was stunned into silence, as I had barely exchanged words with her. In order to not cause a scene and not knowing what to say I stayed quiet. I walked over to the registry, paid for our dinner and walked to the car. As we were getting in my car my son said “Dad I don’t think it’s right to buy food from someone who discriminates us”. I thought for a second and realized that he was right, I had just been discriminated. She had showed me hate, and the hate she showed towards me was not irrelevant and should not be minimized. I’m a person who doesn’t like conflict and avoids it as much as I can. But that type of behavior is spreading because of hateful people who think that they can demonstrate this behavior and get away with it. So I decided to go back and asked for a refund. I was explained that I was not going to get my refund right a way because the bank will hold my funds for a couple of days. So I’m going to be watching for the next several days to see when I get my money back. I feel very disappointed and sad that chipotle will hire and keep these type of people hired. If she made my son and I feel this type if way I can’t even imagen how she makes her coworkers feel. Talk about toxic work place environment. Either way, I’ve been a chipotles customer for such a long time, but tonight was the first time I didn’t feel welcomed and blatantly discriminated in front of my kids. I didn’t realize I shouldn’t have felt as ashamed as I had. And I’m glad that my kids were there to let me know that I shouldn’t tolerate that treatment towards me or any other men. I don’t know what chipotle is going to do, but I would be even more disappointed in them if they allow these type of people to continue...
Read moreI love Chipotle, if you get in line then you get your food fairly quickly. I ordered online at 5:20pm and the app stated would be ready at 5:45. 6:00 past and I was still waiting behind maybe 4 or 5 orders. They have 2 people working the online orders and a whole staff for those who walk in. What's the point of ordering online if I could have walked in and left with my food quicker. I saw several people walking in and out with their food while I had to wait with several others also waiting for their order probably also regretting the online option. They got a good routine for those who order inside... can't say that about the online side. Hope to see a change come for that one day. Sad to see a receipt say promised at 5:45 and it was 6:10 when I was handed my bag.
UPDATE: Wow it's changed so much since this review, I don't know if it's because of the new pay rate but wow the presentation and their online order side of things has really improved. The food looks amazing and my order was on the shelf. They charge a bit more, but looks like the dips and salsa's are put into larger containers and idk if it's to compensate for the pay raises but I'm digging this. Not sure if they just ran out of their usual containers but I could get used to this. So happy to see this location is rocking at the service, it's why I keep...
Read moreI almost never leave a bad review for anyone but their portions are becoming quite ridiculous, I paid 48$ for 2 tiny burritos and a bowl, asked for guacamole on the burritos and I kid you not I was given around a teaspoon of guacamole.... BOTH TIMES ...The most absurdly tiny amount of guacamole considering they're charging almost 3$ more for it. And to top it all off when I asked for cheese on my items they sprinkle perhaps 20 tiny strands of cheese, no exaggeration you could not even taste the cheese it was such a tiny amount. It was funny that when I asked for lettuce they were extremely generous with that considering it is a lower cost food item, but since they skimped on everything else my burritos were just overpowered with lettuce. I used to love chipotle a few years ago when prices and portions were reasonable, but now it seems to be nothing more than a greedy corporation trying to squeeze every ounce of profit from their patrons while giving nothing of value in return. Will never be coming back for this reason. And I hope this review is helpful to others as it seems this is quite a common occurrence at Chipotle. Ever since Chipotle had its IPO they've obviously put shareholder returns above EVERYTHING else, which ironically will end up bankrupting the company if...
