The Rockin Cue Bar — Restaurant in Harlingen

If you are looking for a good night, it's not here. Security is lazy to walk around the bar so they focus entirely on the first few tables and create problems from absolutely nothing. Security told our server(who was a sweetheart) to cut us off because we were too drunk. Excuse me? The guys were about 3 beers in, 1 shot in. Us, girls, only had 2 drinks. Also, a couple was kissing and they got a whole talk on "no PDA." It's a bar. 21+. I understand if it's a restaurant but things like that are expected at a bar. Then, a friend accidentally put his beer on the side of pool table, so security approached him to remove the drink. He moved it immediately and apologized. Made sure to dry up the wood too. He got into deep convo with the guys an hour ish later and accidentally did it again. So security; who had been staring us down all evening, came and told him again. He sincerely apologized and wiped it again. Big guy security comes in for NO reason RAISING his voice saying "Hey we already told you 2 times ; we shouldn't have to, bla bla bla. He was just looking to start something. Police officer did nothing except kick us out. Ridiculous place. Security is on their power trip. Even if you wanted to say we were "too drunk" , yall kept preying on the other nearby tables as well. Security must have been bored. Should have known they would be problematic when they overanalyzed our IDs by checking them under lights and different angles for 2 minutes. The establishment is very nice and clean. They have a small dance floor and lots of pool tables. It's is very family friendly. Took my wife and I and my in laws and we played pool for like 2 hours for $10, I think they mentioned that it's like that till its 4pm or something like that. If it's after that time it's $10 dollars an hour. We ordered a pizza which was really good because it was not greasy but packed with flavor, the pepperoni's could be bigger but great overall 💪. The drinks we ordered were great! The Morrison Mule that's listed below was really good if you like whiskey and the Voodoo child is a bit like a mix party drink cocktail. Props to the bartender for making me buy more drinks for my wife lol that means it's good. The cheese sticks were good but marinara sauce was dry not sure why but it did it's job. The handmade fried pickles are great!! The only thing that is a lil different is that there is no prices on the menu, other than I'd come back to play a game or 2. This place has got the vibes. And the sunlight will not affect while your in there haha, as soon as you step out you feel the sun 100%. Props to the crew here for taking care of us in this nice...

I'm writing this review to WARN OTHERS to PAY CASH when at this place because you will be OVER CHARGED by your server! I hear about this happening at certain bars and clubs, but never expected it to happen to me at Rockin Q because it seemed like a chill and drama free place, but unfortunately I was charged 50 dollars when the bill I signed off on was only $44! What upsets me so much more, is that I gave her a 10 DOLLAR BILL as a tip - trying to be nice tippin good for the holiday season. Our waitress wore a red shirt and used the hand held charge machine that she carried around her wrist. For those saying its not a big deal, I think paying 60 dollars for an appetizer (which I only ordered because our waitress said they were only 5 DOLLARS since it was happy hour), 1 round of Mexican candy shots (3), and 3 bud lights is acceptable, then go ahead and go have your money stolen from you right...
