Newly opened, restaurant and restroom was pretty dirty. We were warned as we walked in by other customers that we might have trouble with the service. We didn't wait to long to be seated. Our server was super friendly but not very experienced. Out the gate my daughter's drink was brought incorrectly. Wife ordered the cowboy burger, which had a great presentation also came with a free hair on the bun and a very very crusty plate bottom. Daughter ordered some crepes and a brunch burger with an over easy egg. Egg was overcooked and dry. Crepes were delicious. DIL kept it simple and ordered a classic burger. No issues there. I ordered the Cheesy Bacon Ranch plate with side salad. Entree was absolutely delicious , the salad was absolutely boring ( pile of greens with two slices of tomatoes and a bunch of sliced onion. I even got a crusty plate also for free. Server was very attentive to our concerns and advised management. That's pretty much where it ended. All in all not a very good visit. Server was really nice but she kept disappearing and it took a while for her to come check on us. Hopefully they get better. Finally got something nice on the east side and it probably won't survive if it keeps up like this./ 10-7-2023 visit, stopped in for bfast after a night on the town. Looked like a very slow night. Place was clean and quiet. Service was ok, just a tad slow but it was actually an improvement from last visit. Had the steak and eggs with was a roll of the dice considering it's not a steak house. Verdict?, will definitely not order again. Steak was cooked to my preference but it was very bland and not tender at all. The other people with us had a burger and bfast sandwich meal. Looked delicious. They had...
Read moreWe should've known we should not have eaten here when the sign said "Cooks wanted". We also have not had great experiences the past 2 visits, but we thought we'd try one last time.
My husband and I ordered different pancake combos and my daughter ordered the eggs Benedict, which she has had several times. My husband and I got our food and not our daughter's. We waited 15 minutes for it to arrive with barely an apology. When it finally showed up, it had something that resembled white glue at the top, which was supposed to be eggs. There was no Hollandaise sauce and barely any bacon. It was pathetic to say the least. A young man came out 5 minutes later with something that tasted like honey mustard. At this point I asked for a manager. She was nice and could tell the food looked awful and that was not Hollandaise sauce. She went to have the cook remake it. We waited almost 35 more minutes for the food. They kept saying the "eggs" weren't ready. Meanwhile, my daughter got a refill on orange juice. After waiting 40 more minutes we got up to leave. My daughter never got her food. When my husband went to pay, they had the audacity to charge us the entire amount and to even charge for a 2nd orange juice!!!!! We stopped going to IHop by the mall because it was always filthy in there and will not be going back to this IHop on Ed Carey either. There is something wrong with the cooks and servers who bring out food that isn't even edible. I also blame the management of these 2 establishments. We've given each location multiple chances, but enough is enough and they could care less!!!! I'm appalled we paid over $40 for 2 pancake combos, drinks, and went through 2 hrs. of incompetence with no small deduction in our...
Read moreSo this ihop is brand new, and I know there will be expected hiccups which is fine. However, my best friend and I waited for 45 minutes for our meal while everyone who came before and after us were served promptly. We were brought put the wrong food, let the server know before he placed it on our table and continued to wait. 10 minutes later. He told us that someone else got our food and needed to take our order again. My friend wanted to leave at that point, but I encouraged her to stay. They brought us the food about 15 minutes after that, with items that we didn't ask for (pancakes and hashbrowns) and items that came with the meal but we said we a didn't want (bacon and sausage because my friend doesn't eat pork). The main meals were wrong and missing items that were customized, my eggs were missing, peppers asked to be on the side were mixed in and etc. We were in there for an hour and a half without the correct order to show for it. We didn't make a scene but we did walked out.
As I mentioned, the place is new, but if we already had to wait 55 minutes for food not to come as it was given to the wrong table, then the least that can happen is making sure that when we decide to wait that the order is delivered correctly. The waiter also said he'd get the manager (though we didn't ask for him/her) about 3 times but...
